OK heres an up date....
Decided to Split the Oval. I was looking at the spare roofs that ive got and saw that the top corners of the B pillar/ side windows looked
familiar.......

Started thinking about the dash and have decided to make a modified Oval Dash Grille. I want just one instrument panel in the centre of the dash so in
my tradition of using only VW parts I used 2 Grilles that I had knocking around and............

Did a bit more work on the grille today (after working on a guy`s Split Single Cab gates, never again!!!).
Made up a steel ring the same diameter as the speedo trim ring so it would locate nicely over it and also give me something to weld the bars to.
I welded it in place first and then cut the bars out of the centre. Works well I think. Could be a genuine accessory!
