hi all, havent been as active on here as i would like to be recently, mainly due to lack of time, but i jumped on tonight to see whats new and what has been going on in the VW scene.... this thread caught my attention for good and bad reasons... im really happy to see the enthusiasm and support shown by the majority of the VW community for this new online shop, but at the same time i was disappointed to see that there was also a minority which werent as welcoming. All i have to say is dont bag someone for making the effort, especially if you havent seen what they have to offer yet. I personally know the person responsible for this new shop and know what he has been through not only with the amount of effort (and not to forget personal cost) involved in setting up something like this but also, the reasons behind why he is doing it. This online shop is purely designed to help all the vw community be able to afford owning, maintaining and modifying their little pride and joy. I know how hard it is to start a new business, i did it about 14 months ago, and i understand the pain and sacrifices involved to make your business grow, so before u decide to bag somebody about their efforts, even before they have started, think about whats involved, and then if u think its still "that easy" how about doing it yourself. just a thought..... and now on a lighter note, i would like to wish vollks.com.au all the best and guarantee the full support of Raw Auto Werks. cheers Adam

Haters gonna hate...

Why anybody would be against more choice in this market is beyond me. I wish this new venture lots of success.

I just hope we will all be able to stop buying parts from the states!!

I also hope this puts out a message to other Dub shops in oz to pick-up their game and get into the 21st century world of online shopping.

Power to the new site I hope it does well :tu:

Smithy i can assure you the owner will do the right thing by you, first day going live is going to have some errors.

you obviously bought because the prices were so reasonable so why would he then turn around and rip you off?????

Some people are always going to try and put down others which is a real shame

Great to see the NEW website up and running....

and I noted that all parts are NOT freight Free..

which is reality.... even in the USA...

You cannot send a $9.99 part freight free...

but it does show the cost of freight too... a PLUS..

Best of luck

LEE

Wow it's a really well presented web site, well done !! It is only the first day so there are going to be glitches .
I would like to see some more off road parts eg. Wheels, beams, suspension bits.
Its early days but I hope it grow's into a business that complements existing Australian VW parts and service companies.

Hi Everyone,
Thanks for all your support, it has been overwhelming,
Regarding all the confusion about the Free shipping, The banner does say Free shipping Australia wide, but thats only on some item's
as an opening special. Maybe i should have included that (my mistake) but in no way was I trying to deceive anyone.
Sending items all around Australia costs a fair bit and we are trying to keep the shipping cost to a minimum so everybody can afford.
We are also keeping our prices very low (our advertised prices are our everyday price) and always looking for ways to reduce them even further.
We also offer combined shipping on multiple items (we are still working on the formula for the site) so you can save more.
Pick ups are also welcome by appointment.
smithy68 i did see your order and I can offer you shipping for $35, on all your items to S.A.
johny rotten, we dont have anything false, our store has all prices advertised as well as shipping on every part we sell. You are welcome to visit our site and see for yourself.

Eventually we will have parts for all types of VW's, but it will take some time.
Let me know the sort of parts that you would like to see in our store using the online form provided and we will do our best.

Again I would like to thank everyone for their support and hope to keep offering the VW community great prices for many years to come.

Hey chop top VW I am glad to here an outcome, I am very happy to pay $35 for delivery I will send the money through including the extra $35.
Thankyou for the response.
P.S, the prices are very good, and would rather buy my parts here in OZ then from the U.S.A all the time, cheers.

Ive bagged the shit out of Australian companies expecting us to pay more than the seppo sites to 'support the community'
As someone has taken a punt and set this up to 'make a little on a lot' (thats how I do business) I'm happy to hand the cash over, free freight or not.
I mean DAMN.....60% off?? Thats how to do it,not 5% and you get a free sticker.
Type 2 stuff mate, theres plenty of blokes that will buy replacement panels etc,me included!
Bloody buses

I really hope it goes nuts for ya mate, congrats
