I won't deny I think your ad is overwhelming. Is that speco fuel gauge still available? If so what kind of sender does it use?

What kinds of oil bath air cleaners are there? I wouldn't mind one for my camper. Originality isnt important because it never had an oil bath anyway and it would be going on to a weber progressive with an adapter.

Was that oil pressure gauge and sender sold?

Hi Tristan

The fuel guage is still available. I will check a part number for the sender.

The 2 oil baths are 2 different kinds. Stock gear is not my specialty. They are both from 60's beetles though 20 50mm throats.

Mechanical Northstate Guage is gone yes.

I'll have to measure the adapter throat. I don't remember the diameter. I ended up taking it for a walk in the wrecker to find a cleaner that fit it. I think my bay has parts from just about every make of car now. Much appreciated on the fuel gauge. I'm currently running one pulled from a truck. The range isn't exactly what I'd call accurate, or even a shot in the dark.

is that '71 super speedo MPH or km/h? Can't tell. Would it work with the cable on a '75 bay? Thinking of making a gauge plate so I don't need to attack the dash with a holesaw for extra gauges. I mean I have a Magna Elite digital cluster which actually fits in the hole, but I'd have to fabricate a new vent / heater control setup so it'd fit. Not worth it for now.

What else.. That ammeter maybe? How hard would that be to connect in on a VW? I dunno. Shame you didn't have a vacuum gauge. Wish I could grab the bajas in your sig :( point them south and give them a kick, eh? Downhill all the way. Are the kmart spotties still up for grabs? Yeah I'm a cheapass. Comes from being broke. And yes I already have 2 fogs and a supercrap spottie on my bay. can never have too much illumination.

Ammeter is easy to wire. just wire it inline on your power feed wire from the battery to your electrics.

Havent had a chance to chase up the sender yet.

K Mart spotties are still there

Speedos are all in MPH I have no idea if the cables are the same. Maybe someone more knowledgeable will know. Maybe Joel has a picture of a beetle speedo in a kombi :P

I have some beetle speedos in a box about 600km away from me, so if they do fit it's easier just to get anhother one :( I realised in my big plastic cluster all I really have is the speedo, oil and alt light. The fuel gauge has been removed and the other side has a coolant temp gauge shoved in it with a bit of black masonite cut from the old TV cabinet  so if I can fit something there that uses the space a bit more efficiently that'd be nice. I'll have a hunt around to see what people have said. I don't really want to take to my dash with a holesaw to fit the rest of the gauges, especially if I end up grafting in the mitsu cluster. Then I'd be left with useless dash holes.

Anyway, ammeter and spotties sound good. Still have to find out about if I can use the oil bath and speedo. Do you by any chance have a vertical measurement on the oil baths? Rough guess from the bottom of the crush clamp to the top of the cleaner is ample. I know it sounds a bit weird being for an EA81 in a bay but there is a chance they mightn't fit! My mazda filter only has a few inches clearance. If you figure out what sender the speco fuel gauge needs, or at least give me a model I can chase up it'd be much appreciated.

General Failure I will measure the Oil Baths for you on Monday.

I Cannot find a part number on either the Guage or Sender for the Speco Fuel Guage. I also still need the Sender for the time being and it is for a Beetle tank anyway. Up to you if you are still interested. I also have someone else interested in the Fuel guage.

I will hold the ammeter and Spotties for you and if u let me know about the oil bath and spco fuel guage on Monday I will get them priced up at the PO on Monday arvo or Tuesday Morning.

If you have someone else interested in the fuel gauge, sell it to them. It's not a big priority for me. I am still curious about the speedo from the super though, especially because I realised they have a fuel gauge too. But mostly because today I noticed my speedo isn't returning to 0 all the time and making a creaky noise when I spin it by hand. Typical ,eh?
edit: I'll see if I can measure the attaching bits for the speedo cable tomorrow. The cluster isn't screwed in so it's dead easy.

Thanks for holding the spotties and ammeter for me.
