ha ha, 22 QUID, I've got 20 years on you and I stopped saying that years ago, I'll have to start again, it sounds more Ausie. looking good by the way and yes machining drums is still good.

rock solid
mr fabricator today, and finally tore down the CV joints and marked as good as I could. Are they difficult to put back together? ..do I need peace
and tranquility when doing it
Just wish he told me about the rust when i asked before buying , this is the first n last time I will by sight unseen. If he told me the truth then I
wouldnt be so pissed but meh, at least after I'm done I know it will last
hope to have the batt tray and opposite in tomorrow and then it is on to last part of sanding and priming for top coat.

white like your teeth
finally got color on today, only had one hiccup with paint, got one run right in the bloody front nose!!! couldn't believe it but ohhh well.....
and my new favourite tool is those hole drills, those things rock!! I usually use a die grinder but not anymore.
Drilled out all my holes for 25 mm grommets to allow all the power from doors to cab and later tonite the dash n all bits are going in

Wow Ian, your fly'n, what, just one run ?
Those drills sure do the job for large holes in panel steel.
I have to ask tho, new paint, but is the welding of the tray and rear window finished?? You going to glue them on?

hey bloke, I'm rethinking the sheet steel now hence not putting it on. I'm now leaning towards treated marine ply with rubber matting over it and
some nice rows of aluminium runners that meet up to a gullwing toolbox. Cheaper and faster to just weld in a tradie box where I was going to extend
the cab and make it look as if it is part of the cab. Just sux ass if whoever buys the ute as they can't take off the gullwing....
And now I'm trying to hunt down a complete Triton GLX-R rear power window unit, I am hoping a wrecker will have one and I want to actually cut out
the complete window and some of the frame and graft it into the bus so it's just one complete package... one of a kind
anyone know of a new wrecked triton waiting to be hacked up?
Just finished running all the new wiring for power windows/central locking/ sub and amp/set of tweeters and 6 inch speakers....
and BTW,, just kampers and The bus stop are fuggin awesome!!! the despatch is super fast and had no dramas at all with order. Just kampers are doing
free freight so I rang them for some help and just to make sure that it was free freight but the dude wasn't available so I left my number and FMD
he actually rang me back to help out, you don't get that kinda service much these days...............

Hey bloke, cheers for that. Yeah the rear window is going to be sweet as long as it all works out.
I haven't ridden DH for a while now man.. the scene is pretty fucked now and I can't justify paying close to 100 bucks a race + travel. It's a
fuggin joke!!.....
Turner and DHD parted ways so that dried up and now I mainly commute to work on my tricked out Jamis Parker or do a lil bit of XC riding. I still
have a Turner DHR though and still think they are one of the best race bikes out there.
Did Whistler twice in the last 3 years and going back again next July for a month to ride with some of the boys. We normally hook up with Kram when
we go over there which is pretty sweet.
How bout yourself, I bet you are doing more surfing and relaxing than riding these days too!!!!!
Hey, you wouldn't have a moustache bar in all your parts laying around would you?. I need one to finish off my engine build and get that damn upright
engine bolted up. I posted up here and thought someone would have one laying around but no luck just yet.........
cheers Ian

blargh
had one of those "feeling like I'm getting nowhere" days today
Redid my dash cluster panel because when I went to put it in this morning it looked like SHIT so I redid it and this one looks way cleaner and fits
all the gauges well.
Put in most of the carpet and threw in the gear shift, you can't really tell but I sanded back the handbrake and hit it will a bajillion coats of
clean, yes I said a bajillion and it looks sweeeeeet with the gearshifter.
beers tonite and no work on it, need some time out

Nah, i havn`t ridden for a couple of years, i got my hillclimb car running & went racing again
sold my Da-bomb a few weeks ago (sad day) but it was just sitting there doin nothin
I had a heart attack 4 weeks ago, died a couple of times just to see what was on the other side
it`s over rated really, breathing is far far better, so i came back :-)
now i`m doing diddly squat waiting for the damn heart to heal so i can go racing again :-)
in this thing-->
& my tow car--> Quad-cam 32v injected alloy V8 power :-)
& sorry, i have sold all my old Vee-dub sh!t/bits (except the duel-cab Zombi of course)
cheers man & good to see you are still doin it, say hi to Mark & all the boys for me whenever you see them next K???

hee hee,,, yeah it`s my sequential gear-shifter,,, no expense spared hey>??? :-)
& """the other side""" is quite peacefull really, very pleasant & relaxing, no more chest pain you see :-)
after i died in the Byron hospital i saw the white light with a pinky swirl above me & started heading that way
actually hovered above & watched while they were pounding my chest doin the CPR thing,
broke all my ribs & seperated heaps of the cartilage, & dislocated all the rib joints, pretty painful & still is.
i watched the docs from above Zap me with the jumper leads a few times before i figured enough was enough & came back
I died again in the ambo on the way to the next hospital (John Flynn at the Gold Coast)
& then was on the way out again as they put the first stent into my heart
My Left main Artery was 100% blocked & the right main is still 90% blocked & lookin like another stent going into that one soon
Apparently this left blockage at %100 is commonly called "The Widow Maker" because very few have actually survived it 100% blocked,
& extreamly rare to be resussed after cardiac arrest
& they say that any surfers copping this out in the water don`t make it back to the beach, i`m a lucky little prick :-)
Now i`m the talk of 4 cardiology depts :-)
My recent research suggests staying away from eating animal products
the last nurse that took my last set of blood tests said that i have "Pushed the Devil off the shovel 3 times"
apparantly means i`ll be living a happy healthy long life from hear on in :-) i can only hope so, i have more buggy racing to do :-)
cheers mate & get that kombi ute running so we can go play Kombi ute racing :-)
like this--->

thanks Marcus, seat was in pretty bad shape when I stripped it, about 6 springs were shot.. as in rusted away, the top main horizontal bar was rusted
and gone... thats when the upholsterer laughed and said $600 for the 2/3rd seat. It was at that point I walked away. The drivers I picked up isn't
that bad but it was going to be $800 all up..........
Marcus, I'm not having a whinge about the seat it just killed me when I heard the cost, I knew it was not in best shape but maybe I'll take a class
in industrial sewing. I mean shit, at work I got an industrial sewing machine and I supervise fashion techs,I may just hit them up to do it...
ahhh the joys......
