couple of photo's of the lights and front bumper on. Still on the look out for a good rear bumper. At the start of this project I was shocked by how much people wanted for straight bumpers, now after 6 months of looking I can understand them charging the earth.

Here are a couple of pics of the interior. I coated the pan and cargo area with some brush on bituman and then used some sound proofing sheets to deaden the sound. I ended up using Flash tape from Bunnings not the expensive stuff from auto shops. It worked a treat, it has really firmed up the floor pan where before it had a loud drumming sound. Im hoping it deadens the engine noise too. The roll only cost $150 I think. About half the cost of the other stuff.

the last photo is the new carpet. Ive still got to sow the outter trim on. The previous carpet I bought from TMI was really thin and didnt like the colour choice.

Looks good man.
Always had a soft spot for cream paint with chrome to set it off.
Is the colour Ford "Sweet Cream", used on late '70s?
Nice ride. :smirk:

Finally getting to near completion of all the little things that ive been putting off. Stripped down the gauges today. They were pretty ratty and had alot of surface rust. Abit of sanding, paint and a good rub of Autosol for the chrome. Pretty happy how they turned out. Also finally got myself a half descent dash. It is off a late type 3 but have managed to get it on. Are the later modle dashs different shape to the 66 dash. I found it very hard to get on, doesnt really line up properly. I have mounted a late dash on a 68 fasty and had no problems???? It also came with a well made dash mat that looks the part until I find a early uncracked dash (yep, I know i'll be waiting a long time)

Well after about 9 months of ignoring this project and then trying to sell it ive just started to finish off a couple of things. I had a few people interested in the engine so I took it out to sell it separatly. I ended up getting inspired so I stripped it back to check the heads and give it a clean up and repaint. As you can see from the photo's it looked totally shit house. Dont know what they were thinking when they spayed it. Anyway got most of it scaped back and painted in KBS engine paint and did all the tinware also. Starting to look the part.

Mate I saw it for sale and was a little dissappointed you weren't going to enjoy it after all the hard work. Chassis pics tell the story of lots of solid work. It's a very tidy unit. Are you keeping it now or still selling?

Not sure mate. I do want to have it running and drivable to experience it before selling it. It wasnt till I put it up for sale that I relised my attachment to it. Before then it was just in the way and a burden on my mind to complete it. Now its getting dark early I have been getting in the shed to work on it a hour or so a night. I would love to see it sitting on a set nice Fuchs wheels and have the engine looking and running awsome. I think then I would be happy to sell it.
