Hey Extremely nice car. Can you please tell me what the deal was with importing a modified car? I was under the impression from a few magazine
articles that you couldn't import early cars that have been modified anymore. There are a few stories around of American muscle with mag wheels and
big motors even new paint jobs that are sitting on the docks because they wont pass them for rego. If is as easy as you have made it look I might go
shopping.
Best of luck with you panel, I am very jealous.

Thanks !! I have had no issues what so ever. Maybe VW's slide under the radar? Not sure? My freight forwarder has never mentioned anything about that
stuff. It says on the import permit that having an import permit is no guarantee that the car will get passed for rego though. But again from my
experience VW's seem to slip through. Fingers crossed anyway. Hope that helps.

Further more to this.... If the car is pre '89 it's very relaxed with no restrictions on importation. Just always get the import permit before its
even booked on a boat. Very important. Without that the car can on worst cases be crushed before entry. So I have been told. It's all easy, just have
the import permit and all will be ok.

Gave the panel it's first wash today which gave me the perfect chance to go over the entire car in detail. I am very pleased with my purchase. Really
looking forward to getting it on the road & to start adding my own touches.
Got the '62 out as well for a wash & some photos.

The panel van is now 100% road registered as of yesterday. It was awesome going for that first drive even though if it was stuck in peak hour traffic
going to the Dept of Transport. After a nervous wait there the car was registered without a hitch. You just never know how that stuff will go
sometimes. But no issues what so ever.
Had the Black Mumba shifter fitted as well as a full service today. I am very impressed with the shifter. It's so solid & the feel is great. I
would recommend one of these to anyone. I am stoked I went for the shifter with the serial number of 1969 as well, makes for a nice touch I say.
Looking forward to the cruise up to Dubs this Sunday. Will be cruising everywhere the next few days (well to the office & back at least) I am
happy camper. See some of you Sunday perhaps, come up & say hi as I don't know many faces around here yet.

Gotta love my panel van. Had to do some deliveries of bikes today to various shops around Brisbane so thought why not take the panel van for a cruise.
Had to be one of the coolest delivery vans on Brisbane roads today, haha. Love this car, so practical & styles for miles.
