Hey Volma you forgot the most important page!!
The one with all the accomodation details and the indemnity form etc.
The easiest way for anyone interested is just to e-mail the event director directly!!
email address;
pandpcurran@ozemail.com.au
This really is the best option.

We have just begun a new Vw club here in the Riverina and although I won't be able to make it to the cavelcade, I would like to organise a get together with cars passing the Wagga or Albury areas on the Hume Hwy. If you know of a group comming through and would like to get together, please let me know.
I wish I was going!!!!

Like I said just contact the event organisers and you'll be fixed up with ALL
the OFFICIAL documents and any other info you need. It will be readable too. P & P have all the info you need, just e-mail them and it will be sorted! I don't think the scans are real clear, but they give you an idea of what is happening.
P&P asked me to put this on the forum in the first place because they aren't on it. It is not the official way to sign up, just a way of making everyone aware of the cavalcade etc.
Contact; pandpcurran@ozemail.com.au for all paperwork and info.

If you are planning on going then you'd better at least book the ferry ASAP because they are getting booked out ahead.

For interest a Travel Industry article. Sydney to get Spirit of Tasmania III, ferry, in January of next year:cool:

Tasmania boasts record visitor figures

Tasmania has defied tourism trends by attracting a record 703,100 visitor arrivals for the year ended June 30.

Tourism Tasmania chief executive Rob Giason said the state had achieved a 22.1 per cent growth on the previous year, with international arrivals ahead by 12.3 per cent and domestic visitors increasing 28.6 percent.

Giason said a big factor behind the growth was Tasmania’s new marketing thrust, using breakthrough methods to analyse research findings, segment the markets and get the advertising messages right.

“Not only did Tasmania defy a national downturn with the 12.3 per cent increase in international arrivals, but we appear to be leading the tourism recovery charge on the domestic front as well,” he said.

Tasmania’s largest holiday market, Victoria, grew by 41 per cent, but New South Wales experienced the largest boost, posting a growth of 52 per cent, driven by an advertising campaign promoting Tasmania as a “Rejuvenating Journey”.

Tourism Tasmania research revealed the campaign lifted awareness for Tasmania by 400 per cent in New South Wales.

“Tasmania is on a roll thanks to changing travel habits, unprecedented access and a marketing message that seems to be pushing the right buttons,” Giason said.

The Tasmanian government’s decision to put Spirit of Tasmania I and II on the Bass Strait run last year had paid dividends, with sea visits up 61.4 per cent over the previous year.

“That’s a great result, and we’re looking to boost sea arrivals by an extra 51,000 when Spirit of Tasmania III begins cruising from Sydney to Devonport in January,” Giason said.

“We are also well positioned on the airline front, with a record number of seats on offer and Qantas and Virgin Blue competing vigorously. It’s now easier than ever to get to Tasmania.”

Had someone enquiring about accommodation the other day. They are going to contact the club here

How are the bookings going, and what are the main venues people will be staying at?

Are any of them booked out already etc?

It seems like people are still deciding and planning

The recommended venues, prices and contact details are all on the registration form. Another good reason to register now!! Don't know if any are booked out but I wouldn't leave it too late. The organisers have been recieving at least 2 or 3 registations every day for a few days now!!

Kicked this up to the top for a while so people have a chance to spot it and get organised

It is an event well worth supporting and going on if you can

The more that go the more fun as well.

Tassie is a beautiful island to be cruising around with a bunch of other dubbers

Because it is over water, you need to book the ferry, at least, pretty soon, it'd decision time:thumb
