Even so, for a road engine they are just plain crap. Even a twin carb can be made to use the vac dizzy properly and give much better drivability. A
lot of people are lazy when they get twin carbs and can't be arsed doing the job properly or have been told the 009 is awesome and so they just whack
one in there
Do you have any info on modifying Kadrons for vacuum?
It's something I've been meaning to do for a long time, but as you stated I've been lazy
I've heard of modifying for vac but have no idea what's involved.

If you said I was a Volkswagen man, you'd be right.

Hmm, try search the samba or Volkszone forums as those guys have done pretty much everything you can think of to VW's. Some guys even built a twin
scroll turbo VR6 4WD powered Caddy. Runs MegaSquirt and fully self fabricated. Mental
As for my knowledge of it. The vac signal needs to come from above the throttle plate but not sure if it's just anywhere or whether it needs to be
near the leading upward edge of the throttle butterfly for correct vac signal. On the Kadron there may be a boss near the throttle plate that was
originally meant for a brass tube to be drill and fitted. I had 34 ICT's on my old 1600 and these already had a vac can take off.
