CD's are dead.
Vinyl is king!
Dub is something that grew out of reggae.
Reggae must be played on vinyl to truly feel the right base.

Dude there is no bass on vinyl????
They can't put low frequecies on vinyl because the tracks would be too wide. I think they cut off at 80hz or something.
If that's the "right bass" to you, you are missing out my friend.

Yes Ron, and maybe I need a few
I don't have any problem with you or anyone getting a tattoo, what you do to your body is your business. But I will say that when I see you or look
at you, you appear like (appearance is the key word) a decent person of society. If you had tats on your face, rings through your nose etc I may have
a different opinion which is what I am trying to put across. Are you still going to talk to me.
Maybe I am just a very negative person after working as a cop for years (ex-cop now) and dealt with heaps of shit bags in the job. As cops we were
taught not to stereo type people, but you had to as it was a survival tool. I know the job altered me and still effects me and I am not meaning to
offend anyone, just voicing my opinion like others.
Edit: PS, Ron I forgot to tell you also that your music sux hehehehe

Although you call me narrow minded, you agreed with my narrow minded thoughts re piercings. So what does this make you. Your argument is over,
sorry.
And you say my name, Kev (short for Kevin) is a typical name for a narrow minded bogan. At least I put my name to my posts. You don't even have the
decency to put your name or area in your details section, but that's another argument. I guess some people like to hide behind the scenes.
I know only too well there is good and bad in every race. But a large sector of Muslims (and I know some nice ones) are not fitting in and trying to
take over Australia. If you disagree and think any different you need to open your eyes and look overseas to see what they have already done.
And since you raise the subject of religion, is your God the real God or is the Muslim Allah. Not sure if you will answer that one for fear of
criticism.

Yeah vinyl only gets down to 80Hz average, and 60Hz is a real limit. Sorry I should have mentioned that bass from a vinyl master on studio monitors
will give you the 40Hz feel. Those original reggae vinyl masters are great. I am not missing out at all. And if it is the base for me, I really am not
missing out.

It is good to see everyone is passionate about music
I like a very wide range of music and even like some of Skrillex's music
(I am now wearing a raincoat for the fruit that will be thrown)
I am 45 and have 2 teenage boys so get to hear the new gear as well as other. Here are some of my fav's (old and new and in no particular order)
Cake
Foo Fighters
David Bowie
Carrie Underwood
Live
Duffy
Fleetwood Mac
Grace Potter and the Nocturnals
Hootie and the Blowfish
Jackson Browne
Kelly Clarkson
Kisschasy
No Doubt
Paolo Nutini
Paramore
Powderfinger
Red Hot Chilli Peppers
and I could go on (already have)
Music is about enjoying yourself
I am quite happy to see other people enjoy their music, even if it isn't quite my style

AS I said, to each his own.
I was sitting in my basement I just rolled myself a taste
Of something green and gold and glorious to get me through the day
Then my friend yelled through the transom "Grab your coat and get your hat son
There's a nut down on the corner, givin' dollar bills away"
But I laid around a bit
Then I had another hit
Then I rolled myself a bauma
Then I thought about my mama
Then I fooled around, played around
Jacked around a while and then
I got stoned and I missed it
I got stoned and I missed it
I got stoned and it rolled right by
I got stoned and I missed it
I got stoned and I missed it
I got stoned oh me oh my
[ Lyrics from: http://www.lyricsmode.com/lyrics/d/dr_hook/i_got_stoned_and_i_missed_it.html ]
Now it took seven months of urging just to get that local virgin
With the sweet face up to my place to fool around a bit
Next day she woke up rosy and she snuggled up so cosy
When she asked me how I liked it Lord it hurt me to admit
I was stoned and I missed it
I was stoned and I missed it
I was stoned and it rolled right by
I was stoned and I missed it
I was stoned and I missed it
I was stoned oh me oh my
Now I ain't makin' no excuses for the many things I uses
Just to sweeten my relationships and brighten up my day
But when my earthly race is over and I'm ready for the clover
And they ask me how my life has been I guess I'll have to say
I was stoned and I missed it
I was stoned and I missed it
I was stoned and it rolled right by
I was stoned and I missed it
I was stoned and I missed it
I was stoned oh me oh my

Promis this is the last one
Now Roland the roadie was only a toadie who set up the lights and the mikes for the shows
And Gertrude the groupie was a rock and roll fan, who stood by the stage door in the rains and the snows
Roland the roadie met Gertrude the groupie at a rock concert back in Bayonne
He tried to seduce, said he'd introduce her to all of the Beatles and Stones
So Roland the roadie got Gertrude the groupie a seat in the balcony above
And Gertrude the groupie felt grateful and groovy but Roland the roadie felt love
And some folks loves ham hocks and some folks loves pork chops and some folks love vegetable soup
But Roland the roadie loves Gertrude the groupie, but Gertrude the groupie loves groups
She stood up and screamed as the amber spot gleamed on her heroes so skinny and tall
With their eyelids so droopy, and Gertrude the groupie and she was in love with them all
Roland the roadie told Gertrude the groupie to wait and he'd be her man
But while he dreamed of a rose covered home she was out with the group in the van
Hey Gertie, get out here, come on babe, come on out of there....I know you're in there...
The whole trailer's moving baby....What about me....Gertie... Oh Gertie
Now Roland the roadie is back on the road, his heart has been broken again
And Gertrude the groupie waits out in the cold for the very next group to come in
And some folks loves ham hocks and some folks loves pork chops and some folks loves vegetable soup
And Roland the roadie loves Gertrude the groupie, but Gertrude the groupie loves groups
I dream of a day when a chicken can cross a road without being asked for it's motive!

I'm with you wolfgang54. Although I do like some of today's younger music, the above link from ldog is just SHIT.
Remember, we are all entitled to our opinions. Lets just hope some level headed family members (kids of today) bring through some 80's style and not
the crap that is turning youth of today into ratbags.
I can just imagine the future PM (that's Prime Minister, not private message for you young ones) with tattoos, a ring through his/her nose, a stupid
fucken large hole in their ear lobe running this country. Maybe we would better off letting the Muslims take over (only joking on that last comment).
I think you get my views and that's exactly what they are, my views.
So ldog, play and enjoy your music to yourself

Nah whats scary is that some of the little shits out there now carry them as well and have no respect for themselves or others. Id hate to be a cop
nowdays and have to tollerate the crap that young "persons" get away with because you cant give them a kick up the arse...

Getting aggressive if people have a different taste in music that is fool hardy nonsense . That is their choice what they like.
tattoos and piercings dont make you a criminal or a shitbag .lack of understanding and tolerance
make trouble. singling out religions and race as the cause of it all is ridiculous .

dubstep originated from two step garage and breaks.. it isn't new. These new 'artists' like skrillex for example have become famous but, in my
opinion, destroy dubstep.. Theres good stuff out there! and many variations at that! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J2OCSWF7sAw&list=FLlLDQ86q4RDrSQOaT2aTQAw&...
still prefer alot of other genres though.. on that note, Chili peppers are headlining at BDO in Jan! yay!
