In the interest of conversation, and I don't mean to hijack your build thread Morgan.... But I have a question.
I know this is accepted practice and all, but can someone give me actual data to prove this is a good idea?
As in.... Back to back comparison as to whether 60 foot times, stability or better lights have resulted from this mod?
I have a new pan coming together for the POS in prep for the new bus trans.... I have to narrow the torsion housing, but I'm unsure if I should lift
the torsion while I'm there.

My thinking is, it gets the centre of gravity lower to the ground but with standard suspention. With swing axel there is no negitive camber so more
tyre on the ground (thats why my rear is so high). Can anyone else add to that???
Today there was more choppy choppy

all better now
Narrowed 6", should be ready to weld back on 4" higher by tonight

The reason I brought this up is that some time ago, I remember hearing that Nick Economo (sp) from Vollkomen Art said his "Junka" actually sixty
foot better than his blue bug.... Both have narrowed rear suspension, but the Junka didn't have a torsion raise... He just used a trans raise....
Interesting ideas I reckon.

Yeah I know Ben.... Totally agree with you on that one.... Those cars were not exactly the same..... It's just that I'd like to not have to get into
cutting up my pan, if there is other ways to do it.... I also totally agree with you Morgan... They look the shiz.... And they do run nice and
straight..... Having seen many cars in the US (when I lived there many years ago) done this way, I can see they actually do work... Just wanting to
see the options.... I'm wondering if dogleg spring plates and a conventional tranny lift would do the same thing?.... But then I guess the geometry
will be different... The spingplate pivot point will be different, which might have an adverse effect....
Then again.... Maybe I'm over thinking all this.
As usual Morgs.... You are doing an amazing job.... And Ben is help with the heavy lifting.... Look forward to the next installment!

I hav'nt broken a gear box since I did mine , Dave was getting sick of changing crown wheel & pinions for me .
Last tranny broke first meeting out . I only wish I narrowed it a little now , but I pushed the wheels in as much I could , check out
in build section .
Good work guys !!
