No kidding fella's. I certainly know about cherries.
My clanger was against Gary Berg, gave him the win when his car bogged and I had an otherwise super clean pass.
I was trying to get Humpty to spill his guts. The odds were pretty good when racing Simon....can't wait to race in his class....maybe in Sydney

Hahahahahaha... "Mr Consistent".... That's me!
Still buzzin' after such a huge weekend..... I can't thank you all so much for everything..... Especially you Wayne.... Your generosity is greatly
appreciated.
Not taking the bug to the track tomorrow.... Gonna book it in for a dyno session and try to make the track before the end of the holidays.
The Nostalgia's are on here later this month, and the suspension and transaxle updates for the POS are being planned.

So, I guess, that explains my generous size!! (had a few over the years - some redder than others)
By the way, excellent work on the weekend, Mike and Dave

no biggy evry now and then drop it to your local rc hobby shop and ask them for it to be balance charged.
it's a lipo battery, they can let go big time if not taken care of.

That doesn't look like too much fun!....
I have looked into a balance charger and found that JayCar sell an interesting product...
http://www.jaycar.com.au/productView.asp?ID=MB3636&form=CAT2&SUBCATID...
Hopefully the tech has gotten better for the leisure sport market from where these batteries have come.....
Cheers for the heads up Brad.

Do you rekn you're going to put this back on the street ever Simon?
Really?
You could get a glass nose, but hinge it at the front (bumper mount height), then you can swing it up on your own if you have to ever. As you know,
plenty of people at the pit bay next to you to help out a few times a day if needed anyway.
Lots of weight taken out......

Thank you Henry.... That's the sort of advise I was looking for... You have raised a very important point I had not considered..... I often do have
help around the house and at the track, but more often not...
And no Wayne.... I didn't get to the track on Wednesday night.... I had a very busy day with a client (I'm making bespoke chandeliers for their new
house), which nailed my prep time.... So in the eve, I caught up with a heap of Dubbers at a burger place instead.
Working on the car today so it's ready for next Wednesday.

Didn't get to the track.... Again.... Been marking assignments and folios for most of the day.... More tomorrow.
But anyway.... I'm planning/designing a suitable mounting for my fancy new Ballistic battery, but thought I'd ask those that know more than I (ie:
you lot) for some advise.
Is there a (ANDRA) ruling on how batteries are to be mounted?
PS: I'm not an ANDRA member (yet), but I figure I should start to building this stuff out the right way...

I can't remember off the top of my head, but as long as it's secure, you'll be fine. Also check the book for a battery cut-off switch (the little
red on/off Narva or Hella ones workl fine), I can't remember the ET cut-off, but you might need one of those too for National events. I can drop you
off a Rulebook if you want next time I'm down there, or PM me your postal address Simon and I'll flick it off when I get home next week.
Might be 1 year old, but will give you all the detail you need for any S/ST regs you might want to check off.

I hate those one piece fronts.
On the few runs I had in my tube car
all i could think about was what a pain in the arse it was.
My current bonnet is glass, and all that is under there is the battery,
but if my tank was under there i would add springs like Henry.

Battery cut off is required for a True street car quicker than 11.0, A comp car quicker than 12.0 and any car were the battery is not in the standard
position.make sure you get one that has the switch thingy that stops the power from the alternator. As far as a 1 piece front CHOP IT!!!!!! I can get
mine on and off by myself but theres allways someone at the track to help

And what sort of maintenance schedule is involved with living with this stuff?

Figuring out mounts for the Bus trans fitment.... There are a few different Bus to Bug mounts out there, but none of them are very clear on where the
trans is placed.... My trans has a BERG intermediate housing with a Type 1 nose cone.... The bellhousing is the 1600 version I think.... It doesn't
have the upper mounting 'ears' if that's any help....
So....
Can anyone shed any light on where the trans actually sits in the pan?.... Specifially the bellhousing.... Fore and aft location?
Does the engine sit any higher or lower in the car?
Is the diff centreline any different to a Type 1 box?... As in, the axle location vertically when viewed from the side?....
Anyone got a line on some good solid trans mounts in kit form?
