They were in the mens section...haven't got the two bumps in the front.

I'm sooo tired......but happy...I have my big baby Simon home
Bridie and I sat upsairs and watch his plane pull into the terminal....I wish they had the bridge from the plane in glass so you could try and pick
people out as they left the plane....
God I couldn't leave the rail new the Arrivals Doors at Tulla once I know passengers from his flight were coming through...I could feel myself
getting a bit teary...I didn't want to take my eyes off the doors in case I missed him...
Lucky I did cos he walked passed the first door and was heading toward the last...AWAY from where we were!! I spotted him and screamed out his
name...which made him look and lots of people laugh
His first meal request was pizza from La Porchetta in Rathdown St where we'd been going since they were babies...We drove Bridie home and sat talking
for ages at her place...then came home here and talked until 2am
He said he had the best sleep last night cos he hadn't been in a real bed for the last 2 years....always couchs or foam on the ground
Visited my mum for an bit this morning and now Simon's collected some wheels off his dad and about to go catch up with his mates....
This is him coming through the doors last night!! First time I'd seen him in 2 1/2 years :kiss

Looks like I dropped in at the right time! Jenz, you must be ecstatic at having your little (big) boy home, all you have to do now is bring Bel home
and your one big happy family again!
Sorry about not being around for as much as I would like but this new Job is quite a handfull and I have to take every oportunity to speak to the
previous Maintenance man.
Pige and Turk are taking up a bit of my time as well. Turk(Jodies Beetle) Is comming along quite nicely, and I just bought two sets of NOS Genuine VW
Beetle mudflaps. Fitted a set to Pige already, and her Engine tin ware is at the powdercoaters getting a nice new coat of satin black. Welded in
repair sections on the original carburettor intake manifold and painted it a nice mid grey, looks brand new!
Kafer.
Pige can only make the occational apperance at the school now, she is on club rego, so I can only take her if I can bluff the cops with some excuse
that I had to take it to a paint shop on the way home or something!
Well I hope evryone is well and I will see if I can get on line tomorrow night!

Rob sounds like you're achieving a lot on the rides still even if you're working the 5 days week now
You've gotta post some pics of that engine of Pige's when it all done and back in...sounds sweet
Simon's over at his best mates place now and staying the night in town with them.....Wonder when it'll start catching up on him and he'll
crash.....though it sounds like he hasn't stopped partying or travelling hard in the last 2 1/2 years so think he'll just keep on going

Totally flat out getting ready to go to Valla....we're leaving here Wednesday for Albury where we meet up with the fellow mexicans on Thursday &
head to Sydney Thurs.Spending Thurs night in Sydney then on to valla fri morn.......must go slleep....lots to do 2morrow......very excited

I've got so much cool stuff to take to sell at Valla.i've got my frames etc.....but i've also got my friend to print up some cool
tshirts,wallets,purses & mousemats all with kombis,bugs & type 3's on them.......they look so cool...i'll post a pic when i get back.Have
fun without me & i'll catch you in a couple of weeks unless i pop into an internet cafe somewher & check up on you all which i probably will
do at some stage.....

You have to admit those Ovals and Split Beetles in the last VW Trends look awsome. the only critisisim I have is adding roof racks and all that extra
bolt on stuff, if your actually using them I spose it's OK, but for every day driving I think a Beetle looks better without it all. And stock ride
height is very pleasing to the eye!
Looks like Pige will be back together today, I will post a picture tonight. Im a bit dissapointed though, I wanted to paint the top and sides of the
engine bay, and put a new set of tar boards in as well, but I could not get anyone to colour match the paint, so It looks like it will have to wait
until I get the whole car resprayed.... Well the motor looks good
anyway!

Well it's been a month since I started driving the Notch full time and everything seems to be going pretty good. except for on day when one of the
back brakes jammed on and cooked the fluid in the wheel cylinder
Fixed it up bled the brakes and where off again
Its amazing the looks you get and the amount of people who don't know what the hell it is. The looks might be something to do with the amount of
different colours it has.
Sue still can't believe I drive it every day. Offered her a drive and she said
"i wouldn't be seen dead driving that thing"...hairdresser......what else would you expect.
Any hoo time to go things to do..I'll be online around 8pm Rob see if you can make it.

good to hear about the notch kafer, dont worry about being knocked back on the offer you made all my family and friends wont drive my bus either

as for me. the on going saga eating all my $$$ is the engine i tore the 2ltr down to find a warped case ! not happy jane so im on the hunt for another.

Hi People
Finally got Pige back together and running, only one problem, I broke the vacuum line from the carby to the vacuum advance on the dizzy, on Pige the
line is a solid copper tube with olive fittings on each end. really pissed me off when I did it, it was one of the last things I had to connect up,
that was at 10.30pm last night. I tried to solder the fitting to the line but the bloody solder would not take no matter what I cleaned it with first,
I tried acid and flux but to no avail. I ended up using some araldite to seal it. I had to leave it overnight to set and was crossing my fingers and
hoping she would be right for the vintage club run on this morning. Luckily she fired up and ran fine, what a relief, and when I showed my friends the
motor and what had happened I got offered two replacement lines! that's the good thing about being in a Vintage car club with a few Volkswagen
fanatic's as members!
I sent Jenz some pictures, I cant resize the bloody things with the programe I got with the camera!!!!

Hey!!
I just got home...and turned on the puter....
Haven't checked emails yet but about too...I'll resiz pics no worries
Bridies party went really well..and I'mn about to download the pics....
I bought two new toys today.....There's this shop in Carlton that I've been going to for years...they have lots of tin toys...
I picked up a car which looked sorta like a beetle but not...I looked at the box and it's a Tatra...the weird car that the beetle was meant to be
styled on...AND they had two types of Tatra...I bought both
They're made in the Cezchoslovakia...way cool..I'm happy:bounce
