I am waiting with baited breath to see how it goes down track, also keeping a keen eye on your cooling setup!

nah we had a push rod come out of the rocker just as we were getting ready to go,i think the car was trying to tell me something.
so rtather than rush we decided to do a few checks.all was good in the end no damage was caused, just aliitle pride of the bitch that had set them up.
so we took her up and down the street for testing.holy cow.
i am alittle scared know.i think she's gona be fast.
it's a very angry little car.
we are going to put her back on the dyno over the next few days so we can tune it for the stinger instead of the street muffler we had before.it seem's realy crisp through the stinger and alittle taimer through the muffler.but it might just be my ears.
i will be definatly out there next week if all goes to plain.
i will proberly be doing some more runs up and down the street so i will take some photage.

the old cam was 2248
new is 2297 i think i will have to drag out the specs.
old dur was advertised 318 new is 332 and about 80' more lift or somewere around there.
i did have it around here somewere but while we were away at nambucca the apprentice has cleaned up the joint.i can't find a bloody thing.

Thats a very cranky and healthy looking dyno sheet you've got there! Whats the lift at 0.050" and did you take a video of the dyno run?

it ramp's up quick, stay's open long and suck's in air.
old lift was something around 557' new is over 650.

Lift at 50 thou is....50 thou:lol:

Seriously though Westi, that is a real rocket!
I should have been paying more attention!
With that light weight and now most likely more power(good lift!),
my guess is that should easily be in the low elevens!

686 kg's with driver, should make for an exciting drive.
we will find out next week i suppose.hopefully all will be good.
i am looking forward to some testing at the track.i realy just want to play around with the 60ft's and rear end set up,we don't know if she is going to want to go skyward or not yet.i would like to get away with out wheel bars,if possible.time will tell.
as for bigger carby's we can always dream.if you buy bigger carby's then you may as well buy bigger heads if you buy bigger heads you run out of money real quick, thats a can of worm's i can do with out at the moment.
i would like to just enjoy it for a little bit before i drain anymore funds.i am broke.

i am still sick as a dog ,so i hope this passes quickly.i hope what i rote makes sense,my brain is a meatpie.mash and gravy.

As you may have read, Westi is sick. But this didn't stop him from giving me a tour of JUNKA today and we had a yarn for quite a while. JUNKA was started up and all I can say is Ssswwwweeeettttt, you really need to hear this engine for your self and it will also bring a smile to your face.

Westi, nice to meet up with your this afternoon and thanks for your time and knowledge.

Get well, Kevin

once again we are happy and disapointed all at the same time.
the canadian clubs are getting a good smashing tonight.
we left early to go set up the dyno and see how much this little donky would make.it sounded sweet.

we got one run,one measly run.

it was 209.8hp we were happy as.
we went to do a back up run.
engine has locked.
back to the drawing board.
will let you know the news as it unfolds.

Very nice figure there Westi but that sucks big time about the lock up. I'm sure that you and Troy have run over the same chinaman somewhere along the line in the last 6 months!!

seriously though hope it's something small and silly with an easy fix!!

Hi Westi,

If you do need a new set of main bearings for flanged crank I have a full set with T4 center main, std/std sizes, teflon coated ready to install. They were for my engine build back when I was going to use a T1 crankcase. Not using them anymore now though with the oxy boxer. Got a flanged main seal too that I cant use.

Cheers,

Ian
