Put the notch on club rego on friday...$96 per year. Now i'll just run the gauntlett
although the flash new "S" plates give it away. Funny thing is I had a cop car follow for a few blocks while I had no plates on the car coming home
from the t'port dept.

What's an "S" plate - is that for Sundays?
I hope to have the Baja back on the road again sometime soon. I know that used to attract a fair bit of attention. When the cops saw it was a 30ish
Dad driving they would give me advice and not tickets, fortuantely. One time I left my Wallet at home and they were going to give me a ticket, the
eldest started crying thinking I was going to jail. The officer leaned into the car and explained that I was going to be just fine.

Zac,
box, get back in it!!! lol. Nah, no motor changes (well, none yet at least ). Just a few paint changes and some clean up involved in this version I think.
I saw his 'S' Plates this morning, they must be club rego'd ones. but they look not too bad at all, no specific club rego or historic vehicle tag
on there. Nice black and white. Subtle..... even for Kafer lol.

Hey all!!! I've been doing my USUAL disappearing act....
PLUS I'm not getting home until late from the new job and after being stuck at a computer all day it's the last thing I seem to want to do now when
I get hiome (again no internet access with the bank and no time at work)
DOVW next Sunday and I'll be in panic mode on Saturday....have not done a thing to Bel except drive her .... which is what my original plan was
anyway when I restored her ....hmmm... I do give her a clean but no time to be too anal about it all
My Plod has not sent me my letter yet....everyone thinks that it's been over 2 months now and so they must have lost my paper work....I've paid the
fine but my license is still valid :bounce:bounce
My fingers remain crossed....and hopefully I can drive myslef to the DOVW
Pete it's so good to see you on here....I've got to catch up on the news....hope all is well... you're sounding very chirpy which is all good .....

....OH ....we have a new VW convert ....I'm adding new words to my vocab like 'tosser' and 'louv'
The deal is...he helps detail Bel Saturday morn if we want to get to a party Saturday arvo...and we can't stay out too late cos I have to get up
early to show Bel off.....it's a real test!!
:sandrine
Mandie how's the splittie??

Hmmm,
sounds interesting Jenz.
Rob, red is postive, black is negative... after that, you're on your own mate :P
and
Kafer can be subtle (sometimes), only guy I know that can weigh an entire airliner and be worried about a few pounds here and there. Everyone else
freaks out when they get more than a 2% change in weight

Any more than 2% difference means a reweigh...it's amazing what you can find if you want to.
They wanted to fly a jet the other day but they had messed up all the figures...had an hour to sought it out so they could go flying...was the one
flying around doing the dump and burn.
Anyhoo "S" plate is Special Interest. means it has to be over 30 years old.....you have to be in a club...you have to have a letter from the club
stating that......can only drive it 15 kms from home unless your going to get it fixed or are on a club run....needless to say I'm driving it to get
fixed every day.....
or "who wants to go on a club run to Amberley every week, Monday to Friday"
I think you'd have to be pretty unlucky to get caught...especially if your not drawing attention to yourself...*touches wood*
Rob did you check the link on the previous page?

Yep, did some major, well felt like major work on the weekend, she now has an exhaust (ROAR!) and she was turned over for the first time in ages!
Great to hear her run, very roughly, but running.
Only need to find a carpet kit and put the interior back in. Then finish a couple of small things. Then she is off for a service, safety check and
then rego. Phew.
Anyone know about the rules on fibreglass in the floor? I had some small holes covered in it, its very very strong. But is it legal?
Anyone got a carpet kit for a square?
Cheers

The fibreglass will be ok...as long as it's not a 1/4 of the pan you shouldl be right...just paint it up to match the rest.
Don't know about carpet...I need some for the notch...only it leaks when it rains.

Good to hear Hellbus!
Penguin, Its just lucky I checked first befoe wiring my radio. The power is the Yellow one! Actually they are quite complex. They can be switched
between 6 or 12 volt and negative or positive ground. They also have both AM and FM bands! not bad for a 1950's autoradio.
