I don't know how she's doing over 100mph without a wing on... That's just defies physics.

Love to Rose, but I have a drive lined up for Feb already....
Did some work on the car last night before I loaded it up.... Pulled the Boost Bleed off and re-plumbed the vacuum lines.... Noticed a couple of the
hose came off the barbs way to easily... As is fell off!
The hose is not old at all, but clearly has deteriorated.... Replaced them all and used cable ties for added security this time.... Everything else
checks out good, starts up so nicely now and idles a treat.... Best it has done since it was pulled off the road.... Maybe the ol'POS liked the
thrashing it got on Wednesday?!
Maybe after all this I'll be able to accelerate through the timing lights instead of idling!

Hi Humpty
Watch those vacuum/boost lines, my son broke a piston on his Skyline drift car when a almost new Turbosmart line fractured and the motor had only done
300,000+ ks.
Where going to hook up a Hobbs switch next time to cut fuel and ignition as an overboost safety device and use braided line instead of the silicone
hose.

Thanks for the tip Steve.... All the lines are VW OEM (WURTH) braided hose, but will keep an eye on them in anycase.
At Ray Geneve's Dyno Centre this morning....
It's dyno time!..... But only to get the tune right.... No HP figures from these guys.... Besides.... Solid ET's will give us a good idea on that
one.

Got a spare pan to cut up.... Have most all the bits to make it happen.... Just need to call on Brad for a cage quote.... Advise taken here.
Thinking a 8 point would be the go (A and B pillar hoops, door bars, taxi and dash bars with framehorn supports).... But also thinking about mounting
the trans like Frosty has... Top tubes and ali plates.... Anyone have a line on 002 trans plates?

my turbo oval was doing 11.6@122mph without a wing and was still very stable on each and every run , however when I ran 10.49@128mph without a rear
wing , it walked around all over the place .....

Not a perfect session, still have a little pinging issue to sort out, but I reckon a cooler plug will sort that out.... Feels mighty strong though....

Thanks fellas.... I'm pretty happy with the little engine and how it runs... It's so strong.... Hard to imagine it's still the same little 1776
that Shimo helped me build back in 93!!
It does move a far bit on the rollers, and I was kinda amazed Rick didn't have the car tied down!!???
Will change out the plug tomorow and that will be it until the next track visit on the 28th.... Terrified to try a skid though.... Those stock axles
wont handle it I'm sure!!!

My crazy cousin with his big type 4 powered splitty's are running stock 1500 swinger box and doing skids!! He hasn't broke an axle but the box has
an internal issue which it locks up and you cannot get it out of 3rd gear tll it cools down lol
That box has done 3 meets at Warwick and pretty much was an unknown when he put it in!!
Troy was running stock cv's with a late single side cover IRS box with just a super diff in the type 3 with 250hp atw. Don't shock load it and it
might just surprise you!!
