I'm back from NZ. just got in a few hours ago.
i've taken lots of awesome photos and had a really good trip with my mates. i'll get some photos up online and then you guys can see what sort of

Did you know, the sun starts peeking over the horizon at 4.00 AM in Perth... Quite a thing to see with the sun coming up on one side and the full moon
still only just over half way across the sky on the other...!!!:thumb

South Island!
Great place. Did you get out to Akaroa? I have a friend that manage's a hostel out there over summer months. I couldn't get over how cheap the
beer was, it just gave me the incentive i needed to get smashed every night.
I think the Kombi might be getting sold soon. I have gotten the hot rod bug again. Im not sure what I want yet. I have two ideas in my head.
1. I have always wanted to put a harley sporster engine in a Norton featherbed frame, I like the small size of the brittish bikes but I love the
sound and feel of big twins.
2. A nice old Ute. 32 Ford with a flathead V8. maybe a Rat Rod.

this was the tour i did.
started in christchurch
had 2 days there
then to Franz Josef (via Greymouth) (via the TranzAlpine train)
then had a day in FJ climbing the glacier, ice-climbing, then kayaking, then getting very pissed in the pubs :P
then queenstown for some white water rafting, drinking, getting some melb girls phone numbers, the skyline gondola, and lots more drinking,
then Queenstown to Te Anau (via Milford Sound), nice big cruise around the sound, awesome fun, took lots of pics,
then to dunedin where i did the speights brewery tour, the cadbury factory, drank, got some prezzies, ate, and drank again
then back to christchurch for some more drinking, and then flying home!
awesome trip..was very very cool, but i'd like to go back and hike some of the areas. get into the untouched areas so to speak.
oh, and i got offered a job to guide at franz joseph glacier. they'll train me as an ice-climber and guide for 2.5months, and provide accomodation,
and pay we on top.
maybe next year...

Not much to say!
Did a bit more on Pige's steering wheel. Went to work. And thats about it.
Having a day off tomorrow, have to go have a blood test, and then have a surf!

Yeah its a pain and I can't go wireless.... I am out in the scrub ( or up in the @#*&%$#@@@#$!!!! as $2.63 describes it) so we don't get coverage. I
get a phone pit put in late Jan then I have to get the line in done from the fence to my house.
Mind you, I got air con put in yesterday (was only 37 inside the house.......40+ in the roof) but now I have to get Energex to come by and hook it up
as its 3 phase and I only had single before this.
On a beter note, got my engine back from Conti motors, it was pretty good considering how long it sat without oil or running. Now just have to clean
up the shed and start working on Elvis again!!

Cool,
good to hear that Evans on the way to health again. Osama is a good car, he just needs to be used thats all and in between work and Doo, I don't
drive him enough.
I do have a fair few rubbers now to replace the dud ones on the doors, the rear hatch and the fuel overflow!! So sometime when you two are a bit more
relaxed I may have to borrow him for an hour or two and change a few of them over... thats if I can find the new seals in the mess that is my house
and garage!!
