Heh guys................we're in Caloundra at the moment staying with friends for afew days.I'd love to visit people but don't have any contact
details.We went for lunch today in Maroocydore & it just so happens that they guys whos restaurant we went to is a member on the forum "sleeper"
& has a cool oval beetle.............what a small world.
We'll be heading back southward in afew days & will hopefully be catching up with 72twincab & 11cab & co.. for dinner one night.So who
knows i might see you guys along the way........:o

It's so WET and COLD down here...I'm going to curl up in front of the telly and watch my new DVD of Aardman Classics...and fall asleep
I spent the day at Melbourne Uni....An organisation that arranges USA Winter Ski Field jobs had a registration...get a job day...and I was there to
talk to them about Hostelling International....and our 260 hostels in the US......if they wanted to....
I scored a free pair of ski gloves from the guys next to me...Auski....They came in handy on the drive home in the rain...and the cold......and the
lack of good heating in Dr L....
Honestly...can't understand people wanting to have another Winter....but there's lots of them:alien
Hmmmm....and I'm planning to be in London at Christmas....New Year in Edinborough (Simon's idea...but cool....VERY cool..):jesus

Heh guys.....i'm meeting up with Kafer 2morrow night at The Norman Hotel in brissy with afew other guys off the forum that i met at Valla so that
should be fun.Not to mention the yummiest steaks in Oz!!!!!
I don't want to go home to melb. coz its soooooo nice & warm up here.We're going to Steve Irwins croc place 2morrow so that should be fun,it
would be cool if hes there but i don't like our chances.
Had lunch at the Ettamogah pub 2day which was good & just generally been relaxing enjoying the sunshine.:thumb

Hey Barls!!
Enjoying themselves I'm sure...
And the only people going to see them would be the overseas tourists...I saw a bus load of them climbing on board yesterday when I was in the
city!!.....and they didn't look like they had their Arctic gear with them either....Brrrrrr......
I have the heating on a polarfleece vest and a polarfleece jacket on....mind you the rest of the house is toasty...just were the puter is is not.....
I flipped a circuit breaker earlier on down here with the electric fan running....
Luckily puter OK ...have a surge board... :cool
Not having much luck with electricity today??? :o

not having much luck at all by the sounds of it. i remember how cold it gets down there cause i lived down there for about 18 months. its not too bad
in sydney its cold but not by the standard down there.

I don't know about the tan but Mandie loves Qld.
Worst thing was Steve new more about the Norman than I did and I'm only 30 mins away.
Great to meet a couple who both love VW's
Same goes for Graham and Mel, and Glen and George
Had a fantastic feed and a good yak..great to catch up.

It sounds cool...where did you eat...so many nice places up your way....
Hellbus and Fleur are another really nice VW couple...
I'd like to say soon, for me getting up your way!!!
My mind is ticking over right now with thought's of some diving again...Hmmmm....maybe if I drive up to Cairns.......I used to do it every year there
once...before the resorts....
That intro dive I did in the Whitsundays has got to me.....I'd love to dive Ningaloo Reef WA next year...and Palau has always been on my
mind.......
Wanting to get my license somewhere warm......and where there is good diving....
Work is so slow right now and hours are cut...thinking of looking for somewhere else...a break would be good first....I've only been taking short
breaks and would love to go away for longer...somewhere....
Hey I should look into diving at Byron!!!!
It's gotta be warmer than Portsea :thumb
Diving is expensive down here as well...looking at costs.....I want to do something in one hit....not over several weeks like down here...
Barls...must be the cold weather affecting all my electric circuits...car...house.....My theory for now...
Sydney always seems that bit warmer than down here.....but it can be as wet though...

Nothing like the bases you have in Sydney...near everything....nice views....
My husband Jon was ex Navy and trained in Sydney......He was on ships taking troops over to Vietnam....and was on subs for a bit...Long before I met
him...He loved it except for Vietnam...
