i hate chest infections...especially when they attack me!
on another note...who saw the rally of sweden on tv the other day?? my dad was in that haha...standing out in the snow. he said it was great to
watch.
and on another note...my mates mazda 323 was rear-ended by a 4wd (she was sitting at the traffic lights), and it pushed the rear boot up into the rear
windscreen...yeh, that is about 2.5feet 
but she's okay luckily...and, the guy's 4wd wasn't even damaged apparently...bastard

Well another dubs at the pub over. I dont think Ill be going again. Too bloody hot, they should change it to a cooler month. The swap is getting a lot
smaller too. I think they should have it at Boondal anyway.

i'm with you Rob...Boondall is central to everyone...heaps of shade and the carpark would allow you to set up trade stalls and different VW
types...I'm not going to travel in convoy again it was bloody dangerous turning off the highway. I can't believe they hold it in the hottest part of
the yrear. Don't know of too man shows in winter other than Valla which is too far for me.
howevet other than that it is a well organised show.....:thumb
Can I just say while i'm venting my spleen that too many people at swaps these days are out to make a killing...I saw some ridiculous prices for
stuff. I've seen better deals on ebay even taking into account postage.
Good to catch up with Mandy and Steve....sorry to miss you before I left.

It did look a great turn out as usual up there at the pub.....so how hot did it get....I jealous...Melbourne has gone back to cool weather .... well
at least it will mild for the games competitors if not cold
....I miss driving and dubbing SO much

The kombi will be for me to drive and both to enjoy... Eddie's a good driver just not as enthusiastic about it as us lot

On one of the Dubz threads there is a comment about traffic backing up due to a roll over, I don't think that anyone has said that it was a VW
though.
I agree it was hot, but I think thats part of it all. I was a wee bit concerned at that turnoff into the Ettamogah Pub where as we turn off and queue
up to get in the onramp to the freeway is....
For the heat maybe we should convince KlubVW Toowoomba to hold a "Dubz by the bluff" somewhere with a good view out off the mountains and head up
there for a winter show six months after Dubz by the pub? around August? That way we keep a good show and have a winter cruise as well? thats also a
month before Action day so shouldn't clash there either.
As for the onramp, how about that idea of yours Stan of seperating the groups by a few mintues? and keeping ppl to stay in convoy/80kmph, (yes from
what I saw the type 3's did travel well above the 80kmph speed (about 100kmph for a lot of it from memory) to try and catch up with the rest of the
convoy... and we didn't until about 5-8km from the end!!).
But overall a good day, and heaps of work done by BLB, so hats off to them again.

:bounce: yay yay yay Congrats Jen and Eddie (no wonder BA has lost that speshul 'zing'  ). Your dragging him to Valla I hope (so we can all suss him out ).
As for dubs, I agree it is hot, thankfully I learnt from last year and didn't rock up with a killer hangover and sunburn (I just came home with killer sunburn  ). A toowoomba one would be pleasant, though I hate that range with dub brakes :o
I am never doing poo-fling paintjob on festy again.. I was out yesterday morning armed with a bucket, sponge and tin of chalkboard paint as I had a
biz meeting in the arvo... not a good look, rocking up in a poocar.... but on upside I adore the trophy, shaun made it himself Oh and btw happy chinese new year......... Year of the DOG  |
