they are already 51.5's,they were done before we put them on the car the first time.i couldn't help my self.
as for hp per cube around 1.5 to 1.6 i would imagine.you can work out the maths,i am to lazy for all that.

thanks for all your nice comments.it is only a power figure from a machine that does the maths as best as it can.the mph over the quater is what i am concerned about.
it has gone from 198hp to 209 to 230 i am realy only looking at the gains that we make not the power figure of the dyno.
we haven't done any ignition timing testing i ,or played around with the cam timing yet either.
any how thanks for all your kind words people it keeps us going.

Thats a pretty hefty number from a beetle engine at 1.64 hp / cube :) i had a super suped up civic running 12:1 with mugan bits everywhere and it made a little over 130hp at the wheels from a 1.6 or 1.3 hp cube lol A current zx10 that really is about as cutting edge an engine you will find 1000cc 182hp @ 12k is making 3hp cube!! my VTR1000 only makes 1.8hp per cube.

I'm just ratteling off numbers as some people may not understand what a great result this is, hell I'm going for an ej20t subaru and I will need to modify it to get a better result :)

Congrats to all involved, roll on Warwick

man i am over the moon.i will leave this until something breaks.touch wood.
i will keep trying things with the tune and play around with cam timing to try to improve the torque curve. but that's about it.
it is time to have some fun.

I'm sick of this!

Westi,

When your car is being towed around town please put a cover over it. I'm sick of people phoning me to tell me they've just seen and amazing black VW with no engine lid on a truck or a trailer.

I look forward to kicking your backside at Warwick (With the appropriate bracket racing headstart).

Regards CT

i am going to start practicing my starts on the weekend, see if we can get used to the car after so long of not driving it.

appropriate bracket racing headstarts will be a killer.hey CT what about some old scholl heads up,if i do a realy bad start i always have that little blue button to help me out.go baby go.

if i remember i will take some vid's on the weekend.

RE blue button.

If I had the blue button it would be tempting me on every run.

After my effort at Portland I wouldn't need it. I'm already the break-out king. 4 out of 4 I think it was.

Your car will be like a supermodel on a cocktail of steroids, speed and red bull due to it's low weight and amazing horsepower. I can't wait to see it go (past me).

Great work.

Would be an intersting heads up between your car and Troy's Type 3. Light weight with great power N/A vs turbo efi with just under 1200kg's to move!!

Warwick this year will be better than ever!!

let see if you can top the last effort with 5 from 5 if that's even possible ,

yeh should be good fun to see how she go's.i can wait to have some fun with all the vw boys from qld.
n/a all the way.
it should give us all something to talk about in the afternoons over some beers.

does anyone know how many k's the cruz to the city is on the saturday at warwick.i want to take her in but she doesn't carry much fuel anymore.
i didn't get the chance to take her for a run today i had to much on.
i am not leaving myself much time before wednesday night but who cares, she'll be right.

enough beans have been spilt already.
as barry manilo once sang.ow what a night.

well we have some good news and some bad.
i will give you the good first.
1.the car takes of straight.yeh
2.the car ran 12.5 straight of the trailer, but .there is always a but in everything lately.it only ran 97mph.which was fine because i was onlt half peddling it .
3.the car ran a 12.1 at 105mph,which was shit because i gave it everything.but

here comes the bad and good news.the dizzy was as loose as a goose which made it ping real bad ,this is why the mph was down this was a good thing because it helped to explain what was wrong, but.
it crack all four barrells and some how managed to munch a lift.yeh ,motor is out stripped and tommorrow will be clean and further inspected.
parts will be ordered and back together she will go for warwick.
f---ckin c---t of a thing.
and on it goes.again and again.
