thanks mate - still felt like a bit of a black sheep in the suby, but hopefully there'll be a few more suby's in the future.
Car was fun, i'd never raced before and never driven the 58 past 60k's, so was an awesome weekend. Great to catch up with all the boys and say hello
- the fellowship was great!
bigger turbo, better gearbox and less tyre pressure for next year - let alone being cautious about my sump hitting the track everytime boost came in

well... they need to be thicker.... hahaha. Dunno what dave is trying to say...
but it does sit down alot when it comes on boost.... once a better clearnace sump goes in, its going to hit a two bolt exhaust flange, or the
muffler... the ride height it sick! so something to stiffen it up will be on the cards.....

yeh got some vid - back into Sydney friday so will try and post over the weekend.
STIDUB - i think Craig was thinking about my rear sway bar - not sure what torsion bars i have as i got the car with them already in - probably
standard. Will do some rear end changes for sure - want to keep as close to the current ride height as possible.

Hiya Mick,
Was nice to meet you at the weekend. Nice to hear you won your class. Was very rapid when she got going. With the stronger box she'll rip the track
up for sure
Was that Colonel Mustard with you when I met you in the park in town on Sat morning? If so, nice to meet you too mate.
I wonder what my 1200 will go like if I take her next year
Nice to meet ya and catch you next time.

Mick, I'm on the path to the dark side yet mine is gonna go rotary Will
be a good few years before I have the funds for the wankel but i'll hopefully have the front brake all sorted before then. Looking forward to making
the hubs and what not for them
Probably start off as a modded normally aspirated for about 160bhp so the 1600 box can take it and then later turbo it with a 2l kombi box. All good
me thinks. I'll be interested to see how the normally aspirated goes.
Jason, was nice to meet you dude. How are funds coming along for the yellow one? If you need some mechanical help and can make it to north brissy I
can help you out

hey dude. Its more body work that im trying to get sorted now... mechanically i just need parts, a few bits and pieces... its coming together slowly
though. need to get my new/secondhand drums/discs machined and installed with the second hand calipers and new pads. have new wheel cylinders and
shoes for the rear sorted. hopefully don't need a new M/C but that will be painful if i do... but thats last on the braking upgrade list of things to
do. Engine wise, I can't do anything untill the body work is done (because it is pushed in a bit....) - but I have the new exhaust ready to go in
(smaller pipe, the current one is way toooooo large) may have found a single dcnf manifold [will need new boots and intake gaskets + a bit of paint],
because thats what im going to run on the 1600 (and try and fob my second carbie off to my mechanic is exchange for other parts) then its just to fit
some new tinware, get the throttle cable to work (need a special linkage for the carb..) install the breather box/ vent the valve covers.. and new
spark plug leads...... that will get me to the end of the year. chances of that? low.
then, its lowering, wheels and tires... this that this.... hopefully by october next year.... New engine with different setup (maybe pobjoy with dual
dells and sidewinder.....? i can dream on that one i guess..)

thanks for the comments Polak - i really want to make a car that looks good and goes good. It really looks so much better in person too, not sure why
it doesn't photograph well - might try to get some 'proper' photos done one day.
I was stoked that the car won its first award at Warwick - i'd taken it to shows before but they didnt seem to like it. Thanks go to Brad and
westside really as the reason it won the trophy was because the conversion was so nice and consistent.
Aim for next year at Warwick is to get into the 7s. I don't think it will be too hard to do, mainly gearbox! then i can launch and quick shift. i can
see why people get into drag racing, its good fun.

sounds good mate! i love the different stuff - i had a 12a in my 68 5years ago, but it wasn't the best engine though - needed work at the time. im
sure you'd put in a rebuilt or low k's one. look forward to the pics of your build
