Happy B'day for the other day then Zac.

$2.63, already knew... well, knew before I read about it here but after you had posted it... does that make sense? the icelandic one let me know yesterday during a call.
The Subaru has been sold, so now its the Type 3 as a daily driver and the beetle as a project. Got to get a slab poured so I can put up the new garage as well. Have decided on the final layout. There will be a 6x6 carport between the existing shed and a new 6x6 enclosed shed. Hope to get out for about $8k.

Ona a side note, has anyone ever done some minor sand blasting in a paddock? whats required?

Nice

now that I no longer have a ricer, I can start looking for soemone to do my shed :) or at least the concrete slab part of it. Am still thinking of buying a 6x6 lock up, then building the carport section in between out of timber myself at a later date (ie: after I do the ensuite as well!!) I figure if I can remove most of the crap around the beetle pan, Iand put electrictity out to the shed for lights etc, could actually do some work on it!

hey pengy, give us a buzz if u need a hand. Have been driving miss daisy round this weekend, my sister and I were doin laps at wavell heights,,, we were called hippies, also had a group of peeps yahooing and wolf whistling at us (probably due to the fact that I was getting used to the gears :duh:) and I had a couple of waves from other kombis.. I thought I was going to be invisible compared to festy! Kombis are so much funnnn! Not as nippy as osama, but I had to choose a more practical ride at this point, so ditched the type 3 idea...

Btw I passed you Stanley, on sat, at willowbank, unless there is another matt black notch about.. I was driving daisy home, the maiden voyage.. in the howling gale winds, woulda waved, but I just couldn't let go of the worlds biggest steering wheel lol :bounce

lol
was out at the folks all weekend, so guess I should have listened for the crunching of gears and the howls of protest from a type 2 motor!! Kombi invisible? :duh, doubt it!! Now you just have to get used to driving something the size of a small shed around with the aerodynamics of a loaf of bread!

Shall let you all know if I need a hand with a garage, am still trying to clean the current one to find stuff for this weekend. So I am guessing that a new garage is a little way off at the moment.

Good to hear your Dads coming back to Aust Zac, hope he makes it back safe and sound (and warm).

Had a good day, only one minor problem with the type 3 when the accelerator cable seemed to stick and rev the hell out of the engine. But that seems to have stopped with the liberal application of spray lube :) May actually have to do some mechanicals on that car one day................
