The 30 minute walk to work will have to be better than the 1 hr plus as a passenger in a car that I have to do now. Some mornings 1.5 hrs with a
couple of deliveries.
I will have to get some headphones and I can listen to JJJ instead of stupid talkback radio in the car now that I have no choice on. I am sick of
hearing about people whinging that the bus shelter at the end of their street is 3 centimetres too far from the edge of the road or some other
insignificant problem.

omg!!! rob is still around!!
crazy crazy stuff.
still haven't got pics of the notch (i know i'm a lazy lazy bastard) but uni is coming first. i have exams soon..so i'm trying to study as much as
i can.
on that note, it has a new gearbox, seals, and a few other goodies. will be getting new carbies and a new distributor (old one is shot) sometime
soon.
you can slow down from ~70km/h and the car happily burbles like a race car...it's fantastic.
JEN!!!
congrats in advance!!! have fun in tassie (i know it's hard..but try :P)
Peter: good to hear you're close to work! my dad's still unemployed now that he's back from sweden. mainly caus he doesn't want to drive to
melbourne daily, and no-one in geelong will pay him enough :P
Penguin: 11km's is a nice 1/2hr ride. take it wasy and you can stretch it out a bit longer.
then again, the other night after i'd been out drinking, i was too cheap to catch a cab, so i walked the 9km's home :P
yeh...i was sober by the time i got back...and very very hungry
pyro: you going to splendour in the grass mate? i missed out on tickets..but i'm doing a road-trip up in the mazda wagon sometime around then.

I am sure we'll all hear about it
"and in news from Melbourne, Australia, scientists believe they have found the cause of global warming and massive increase in smoke pollution seen
from the space shuttle and international space station last week. Apparently there was a party that started for a "shed warming" and developed into
a small riot when US Navy Seals tried to infiltrate teh structure that US observation sattelites had photographed and had been mistakenly identified
by intelligence sources as the last remainign hideout of Saddams weapons of mass distraction. Apparently the BBQ was left unattended as the Seals took
a few beers and the meat was burnt, this lead to a verbal slanging match between teh land owner and the Seals, but it was when the Seals complained
about the beer that all hell broke loose.....'

They better bloody not complain about the home brew. It will be more than verbal disaster.
I am actually thinking down the track of having some "technical" workshops, where people can come and see some basic bodywork in action. Vehicle
body work that is

Had a fairly productive day on the garage project today.
I put the top ridge capping on the roof (without falling off this time).
Put all new surrounds around the windows, so the weatherboards sit nice up against them.
Put some of the battens up ready for the eave lining.

Missed out on getting a mini excavator for three days (for the price of one) so will have to wait till next weekend and get on for two days (for the
price of one). Looks like I may actually be able to do some house stuff instead of working in the garden all weekend!!

Hey Zac...married on the 3rd June....back from Tassie now...only 4 days, just a taste of the Apple Isle for Eddie as he wanted to be home for the
World Cup lol
It all went well....I should have delayed the trip by a day so we could recover from the wedding, we were hanging out to get into our apartment in
Battery Point Hobart so we could sleep
Goodness I felt so seedy before we had our 4 hr siesta .... then we were ready to hit the pubs and eat fish and chips on the waterfront
We hired a NB and it was so zippy...well I made it zip It did
take me a bit to get used to a NEW car though....almost doing u turns when ever I turned the wheel and I don't think Tassie has 1 straight road
hehehe
Hmmmm I think they said not to go off of made roads but oh well I parked it back at the airport last night with a bit of mud on it...couldn't find a
car wash damn it ... I hope I don't loose the bond I did dirt track a few
times...Bruny Island, then Mount Field National Park ....Goodness Lake Pedder was a long drive but well worth it...and we made it back to Shippies pub
in Battery Point in time for a yummy bar meal and a few drinks before they closed. We did a mad dash back to the airport last night from Port
Arthur.....it's amazing how the speed can creep up on you in a NB I felt like I was driving in the Targa
Oh and we broke the bed in our apartment ... well the slats were very dodgy indeed ...I think the previous guests must have been alone in bed and
sound sleepers cos the owner said no one else had complained
I saw the VW club down in Hobart heading out on a cruise as we headed into Hobart Sunday morn as well.....I waved, not sure if anyone noticed though??
We were in a white NB ....
Lots of VW'S around Battery Point...a whole nest of them... must be why I like staying around there :thumb
I'll post some pics of Tassie and the NB when I get them on the puter
