I was thinkin a 12A but the early 13b's had rear drums on the RX7. This means it should keep the engineer happy especially as the front disks on the early RX7 were 30-40mm less in diameter. Will probably have to go rear discs when I turbo it but until then I want to see how she goes with front discs and rear drums. The wankel normally aspirated will probably weigh roughly the same as the VW engine by the looks of things.
It'll be rebuilt and have the ports flowed too so 135bhp should go to 160ish :)
Wish I had the cash for it now but one thing at a time ;)

jason, if you have 2 dncf's at present why not fit em both to the 1600? Probably go some smaller chokes but means you can use these for the bigger engine too ;) unless they're 36's and then they'd probably only be good upto a 1900cc motor. Twin carbs will make the 1600 far livelier.

Nice to meet you Mick and thanks for the CD's.
Lovin Fort Defiance and Summer Rain :tu:

Ps. Jason, I might have some 24 chokes for those DCNFs to swap with you if you decide to run them both on the 1600,
(if these 24's end up being too small for my 1915)

already swapped the manifolds.

Will be looking to go a fair bit more serious if/when I go for 1916.

The single will do the job for now (and I can sell the other single manifold and carb once I've set mine up - $$$)

I want a cd! :)

:lol::lol: Love it! Yeh, thought my wife wouldn't be too impressed to see the gearbox sitting there! BUT, it was still wrapped at the time! Unfortunately the garage isn't big and at the moment isn't laid out with a bench or in an orderly way - when you move seems like all the 'crap' ends up in the garage...for now!!! (lucky the car is still at Westside)

I was just excited to get my car part so quick. i ended up unwrapping it to make sure it was all clean and had no cracks etc.

DB, seen that ad where the guy uses the dishwasher? Bound to turn any married man into a eunuch

Mick you're supposed to start the dishwasher as she closes the door heading off for coffee with friends. or in Evie's case get her to wash the parts for you. Very helpful I find :)

Dave, love the kitchen. Very homely

Some progress shots on thursday - going with custom pedals to suit the master cylinder and clutch. Custom sump is on its way - stiffer rear end on trial.

Hi Mick

Didn't your car have coil springs on the rear? Have you stiffened them up?

Hey Troy, just something i do on the side. The company i work for generally avoid the domestic market as its not what were after - so basically, i sell domestic application pumps after hours - mainly through ebay - will set up an ebay store properly soon, but its only a new thing at the moment, though proving worth while :tu:
