i fixed it up now. i filled the bath with hot water...and sat the thing in there a bit to warm in up to 26degC
then i took it out and wrapped it in two towels.
i wake to hear the sound of it bubbling away :P (and it's kept it's heat too...so it should be fine!)

I use a heat pad underneath to help it on its way, $25 at the beer shop

yeh i think my putting it in the bath with hot water did the trick.
it's been at 25-26degC all night, and through-out the day of it's own accord.
so i think it should be right now.
i'll consider that for future brews tho

I have mine in the loungeroom. The brew seems to sit at about 24-26 in there no probs.
In regards to sterisation, I do all mine in the bathtub. Easiest place to do it.
I am doing a ginger beer brew in a few days. I have enough bottles to have two batches going.

Aussie vee brewers
What sort of ginger beer Helbus?
That is my next one and I have not done one before. I have two worts and about 6 crates of tallie crown seals so can keep up with most determined
boozing sessions.
My current fav. is a black ale I brewed with the full malt from the brewshop fridge, dark and creamy just beaut for this cold Brissy winter!

Got the pistons on the TATT (tight arse tuesday turbo) engine today....mind you Sue was up me for cooking pistons in her Blanco oven....always in the
