Yeha,
Osama is up at Conti Motors at the moment as I am away for ten days to the NT. Damn, just after I find a mechanic who likes and is good at VW motors,
he goes and tells me that he is seriously looking at getting out of it all. Anyone know of anyone interested in two ovals he has? one was $3k and the
other $4k I think. Both looked in pretty good nick for 50 year olds (crap paint. but very solid - only bit of rust I could see that was structural was
in the floor pan of the cheaper one) and one even had the original logbooks etc. Looked like original motors, they both drove into his shed many years
ago.

Quick updates.
One beer batch will be ready to test and drink this weekend.
Another will be ready to bottle tonight.
Earlier this evening we went out in the EH and the accelerator cable stuck at full throttle and 300hp was not about to be stopped by 4 wheel discs,
but the front wheels were stopped, and in the four seconds or so that this occured in before the ignition key was turned off, the car screeched to a
halt and the front tyres are absolutley rooted. Massive flat spots that you can stop the car from rolling.

Nah no interest like that, but an interest in getting it  shoul dmake it
to the all german day again this year.
Have just gotten out of Hospital (again) and am likely to be around for a few weeks now. But, have an idea that I will be back under the knife for
corrective surgery before the years out.
On a VW note: Osama's engine was just about stuffed and it is being rebuilt, so hopefully no more huge oil leaks (I have to be realistic - he will
leak oil - its just a matter of quantity!!)
When I am up getting Osama I will speak to the guy selling the two ovals for sale up there and get a few pictures.
My Oval has finished rust repairs and panel beating - now I just have to pay for him as well..... why do all the bills come at once????????

I have already drunk the last batch of beer, have one batch gestating, and have another primary gestation in the barrel. I am going to need at least
20 litres a week this summer.
The beauty of it is the beer only costs about $0.20 a pot. Compared to $3.20 a pot in a pub, this means I am saving $90 a batch. If I do a batch every
fortnight, I am saving $2340 per year.
So the message is guys, drink more and save more. At least the goverment gets no excise from me
