I'm stuck at the moment doing house reno's. Not the expensive ones, just the time consuming 'first home buyers renovators dream' ones
I have been doing cracks in plaster, rubbing architraves, skirting boards, windows, putting up picture rails to hide the crap old plaster joins. Every
night it is like a second job. Two bottles of beer per night while doing this stuff.
We had to save up to buy the paint for the two rooms it is getting that tight, especially since the missus got sacked from her work.
She had been there nearly five years. Put in for maternity leave about 6 weeks ago, and then within weeks they started giving her written warnings for
stuff relating to stuff from up to a year ago. They were not concerned about it, but now make trumped up warnings, and within a couple of weeks they
sack her for unsatisfactory work performance.
Anyway the Equal Opportunity Commission have the matter being investigated, and although I can't comment on what the outcome will be, It is
discusting that the c*^t's sacked her.

Hey Pete
That sucks, what about the 5 years good service, obviously that counts for nothing! I can tell ya now loyalty to the employer is going to be a thing
of the past if they keep this sort of thing up. this sort of story seems to be becomming all to familiar. I hope a positive comes out of it and she
gets a better higher paid job!

I am going to the German day. I should be there early. How far is that from your place I could possibly drop in at your place with the old girl?

German day is where? I will go look later, but if it is where I think it is, my oval will be a fair way away. Maybe pics will be the best way to
check it out. I have a lot of small holes (abotu 3-4mm) under the dash area into the front bay/trunk/area? Will reply again later

Okies,
have a drive now and have spoken to a shed manufacturer about another shed (and carport between the two).
Just have to get my plans into council and get it all approved before I head back into hospital for round 2 of the slice and dice festival.
At the end of it I should have a twin carport and two 6x6m sheds (okay, one may be 7x6m) to play with. One can be just car and the other can be wood
and glass work.
So it won't be as good as your Pete, but at least its a start

No? Oh well.
I have been painting painting painting inside the house. The computer room copped the treatment over the last three days, so it was offline.
Anyway I'm back, and have to spend more time painting this weekend too.
And drinking home brew

Good luck with the exams.
As for the hosue in the shed, nah, but the 2nd shed will be 6x7 and I am planning on lining it as a good 'clean/dry' shed and keep the other one as
my 'greasy' shed. Put a deposit down today, hopefully I can get a lot done before I go back to hospital again.

Agreed,
and yes it was hot here last night. It was still over 28 at 11 at night. I've finished most of the plans I need for council approval of the
shed+carport. Thankfully work gave me access to a program for drawing for a few refurb projects I got dirked with (its only Visio - but its pretty
good for this sort of thing). I never got plans when I bought the house, so I think they will become the master set (mind you, there ain't much
competition against them!)
On other notes, looks like I go back under the knife on the 4th Dec. Anyone know a dog they hate? I can get some liver with cysts on it... going cheap
:repuke you just have to wait till they cut it out of me.
Looks like I will have 6 weeks off work and hopefully it will sort out the problems...... I hope

Congrats,
and as for the beer drinking Pete, already there. Figure I won't be able to do it after they slice and dice, so am getting is what I can.
I paid a deposit on a second shed the other day, now have to work out the timber for a 6x6 carport and see if it is cheaper to build a timber one or
buy a steel one.
Do you remember what roughly prices you paid for your timber pete? or was it a 'mates rate' deal with soemone you know in the trade? I figure I will
have to get at least 24m of 100x100, 50m of 200x50 and then stacks of rafter timber!

Hopefully Pete drops by,
got a question for you Mr Helbus
do you think that:
AIR COMPRESSOR CAST IRON Belt Drive 2 HEAD BM V HEAD 2.5 HP X 50Ltr.13 CFM, : CHECK THE FEATURES: CAST IRON Pump, Low Revving, BELT drive, TWIN head,
EXTRA LARGE intake filters, 13 CFM, 50 Ltr Tank, FREE Dual Gauge regulator ALLREADY fitted. 2.5 HP Motor.
would be a reasonable compressor for general air tool and maybe minor painting use?

The specs are not bad for general air tool, and painting a panel or two it would cope. High air use tools like continulously using air sander would
make it run continously.
What brand motor tank and pump is it? This is one of the main questions.
The older McMillans had Australian made Betts motors and McMillan tanks with the cast iron twin and triple pumps from Feng something in China for many
years. They are quality Chinese brand that have been around a long time, and very reliable.
The newer ones have Betts motors, but made in Thailand. Not as reliable.
Then there are fully made and assembled in China, Taiwan etc.
I saw so many of these types come in for repairs at the tool shop I worked at it was amazing. We sold only the bigger industrial units like Mcmillan
and Ingersoll, and never had any come back for anything other than one for a loose keyway on a pulley.
