Not that I have found,
bloody things are way cheaper down there. Maybe it has to do with the economy and how rich we are up here and how shot it is down there ;) just kidding guys.
Am looking at a few second hand ones, but trying to be careful with that option. I may have to eventually get Stan or 1stcarbug to do some welding for me, but theres a lot to be done before that happens I think.

I am not sure what the brand 'Jetstream' is like, but i am guessing its not very good. Haven't asked Pete about that one.

"form 15"...mmdoh, everyone knows that is the one where you outline the exact specifications of the precise widgets you are using with your gadgets, exactly how many roof screws you are planning to use, the thread count of your bedsheets, how many beers your fridge holds, the seasonal grazing migration patterns of the Tibetian Lama hearding Ooglieboogah tribe and which brand of gaffa tape you will be using to attach your wiring. It only costs $798.13 to lodge and you get a free stubby cooler and native shrub on application :bounce

Geez Penguin no wonder things are taking so long, you obviously don't know your way around the Ippy council red tape do you :P

damn, where si that finger emiticon??????

got both Form 15's today (one from the garage supplier and one from the carport supplier)... I cannot believe that they are that retentive that they want the resume of the bloody engineer who did the calculations!!!! and to think that I used to be able to do this, damn letting qualifications slide!!!!!
Anyways, now to wait and see if I can get approval... oh, and I now own an air compressor (2nd hand from ebay) and a few tools... now to buy more toys for the sheds :D

Coem on up Rob :)
let Pige keep her younger cousin company.

As for sheds, what size are you looking for and what do you want to do in there? I ask because the shed I am getting is weak compared to the carport that is going alongside it in terms of structural strength and what you could lift (with hoist) from it etc, but is way cheaper and a little larger.
Shed is 6x7 and carport is 6x6.
Do you want roller doors or tiltadoor? etc, need a few hints but otherwise you are right, they are all just about Aust wide.

Thinking about 6x7 or there abouts, cant say I would want a tilt door, would need to be 2.7 high I reckon to get sons 4be in, reckon I know what I want to do in there but the lady says thats not on so reckon it'l be parking the car and undoing the ocasional bolt or two.

lol what did you want to do in there?
personally if it was my place I can't see a problem as long as
a: you weren't doing anything really dangerous
B: you didn't destroy the place
c: you didn't get grease and junk all over the house.

Thank you Rob :D gee thats so nice :P

Okies, sheds, 6x7 is what I am getting as the shed. Now I got the cheapest one that I could handle the design of. ie: The roller doors (two of standard size) are in the long side and it is gable roofed. So the gutter will run above the roller door openings. Now by going sheap it means that you can't use the structure for anything except to hold the sheet metal up. So no whinches etc to lift motors or car bodies and possibly no internal sheeting (although as an engineer I think I know how to get around that for this shed). I went with a local mob called Garage Worls for my carport and Atlas garages for my shed. But the shed is the same one that TotalSpan sell as well (spoke to their manager about other work and saw one of 'my' sheds on his trailer and asked - apparently out of the same factory) It has two roller doors, a personal access door and a window. Now if you are basically able (as in construction sense) you can add additional windowws - within reason - quite easily.
The shed cost me around $3400, but that is possibly more/less than you may pay down there due to market size etc. Mine is also 2.4 at the eaves, so you would need to get the 2.63 at the eaves version.
Here is a link to my shed (its the Brisbane)
http://www.atlassheds.com.au/ecommerce.php?ecompage=viewdetails&stockcode=Bri...
the price has gone up since then, but they are occassionally on sale as well. Like here
http://www.shed.com.au/Pages/Promotions.htm
or are out for clearance like
http://www.shed.com.au/Pages/Clearance.htm
or try
http://www.sheds.com.au/Catalogue/Garage1.htm
there is a stack of places, just make sure you get a good slab and have a basic knowledge of how to put it together (or get a mob of mates around for a BBQ..... speaking of which????

Thanks Chris, assume your typo said Garage World, there is one of those down here, will drop in and check them out, never heard of the others but have found that some companies are selling the same shed under a different name, sorta like rebadging I spose, think I am realy looking for something stronger than the run of mill as a mate of mine had a shed nearly blown down in a big blow here coupla years back, insurance covered it but made a real mess of a project he had underway.
