They had quite a number of doctors that were thinking of rewriting the textbooks after this episode. It was just so far out of the parameters, and with all that time and not a single drug or gas or anything.

I have to say I pity the fool that tries to mess with our kid and Fleur has something to say about it.

And I thought my 5 minutes of hard work was worthy of a mention

How's it going DAD?

When do you get the family home?

Haven't you been eating take-away so there are no dishes to wash or kitchen to clean; get around anaked in the house so yo can get an extra day out of the clothes when out n about..Pete get resourceful....I'm sure Fidel will when he's in his teens and you guys go away for the weekend, leaving him at home to look after the house

I took an RDO to try and get the new barn building permit happening....hopefully get the drawings this week...spoke to the guy at the council to try and figure how to get around their stuborness....explained how I didn't want to destroy existing garden as to why I want it at the back of the block and not on top of the house...he doesn't like to 12 x 10 meter size...went over how we had measured the cars and we can't go smaller if wanting them all in the barn plus room for gardening tools, etc....and that we have people building a huge double story house next door, with a huge shed...and very little garden and I'm not complaining... it's way more intrusive than our barn would ever be...hmmmm I think I got him on a couple of points and he seemed more receptive...fingers crossed

Pengy how is your shed going?

Good luck with your plans.
They dropped off the posts for the carport topday... the rest of the kit was delivered last week. I was looking at it all over the weekend and wondering what was meant to hold the C purlins up......was thinking I was missing somethign (as in not seeing it) until I called them this morning and they apologised for stuffing it all up.
Tomorrow is the excavation for the carport and shed.
I am off to Adelaide on Wednesday for the day then back for Thursday when they pour the slabs. So Thursday is setting and watering of concrete and a wee bit of gardening around it all (mowing and such), as is Friday. Good thing I took two days off work :)
Will take some pics and hopefully be able to post them.

Okies,
have concrete (lots of it) down and laid, but I can't shrink the photos as their are all over 79kb. May need to get another program to do that and show the vast expanse of grey :) Looks to be a lot of shed space coming my way :D

Nah
no paint shop pro, but my usual program won't get them smaller than 79kb... hmmm... maybe I need to take smaller pictures?!?!?!?!
As for roller blades etc, :) Nope, want to get the shed and car port up as soon as possible. It does feel good to have the concrete down as it does feel like the shed is that much closer. And it even passed its pre pour inspection by the council guy as well :D so its really legal !! woohoo!!!

Pengy how's the shed going now...has the concrete cured

I'm feeling a little closer....geting my size down...realised the barn they sent plans for was or a rral sized shed...don't need to get a tractor in the doors...it would have been as tall as the house

Getting it down to the opening height of the carport which fits the trakka under easy

Pete how's Fleur and Fidel going...how are you going...are you enjoying parenthood:cool:

Hope everyone else are going well to...we hv a day off for Labour Day today...noce to have a long weekend

Sheds no closer. Concrete is down and cured (pretty much) but I am off work for the week prior to the operation, so am heading south to pick up a few things. So no building this week. Still haven't shrunk teh photos, so they will have to wait.
Ordered two water tanks yesterday so they will be plumbed into the sheds as well, maybe I will get to wash my cars in the future :)
Glad you worked out your shed problems, I thought it sounded a wee bit tall.

Pengy I hope the op goes well

I'm getting a couple of water tanks as well..it is a waste to let all the water go down the drain these days for sure

Our cars are in need for a good bath too... everything is so dusty

Hmmm I still carry my little fold up brolly in my bag just in case... people may have to stop the Melbourne rain jokes the way the drought is going down here

Guess you beat me then on space. I am only ending up with about 12 x 6 of shed (actua;lly one 36m2 and one 42m2) and 6x6 (36m2) of carport. But I can still try to beat you to get the damn things up :)

The shed was going to be 12 x 10 but when we turned the layout around we adjusted it down to try and keep the council happy:(

Nope a double garage would have been useless with 4 cars n all the gardening stuff, push bikes n BBQ to store

... I'' have to look for some good shelving and work bench n stuff now..where's the best place...and some of those tool brackets...try and get th shed low on clutter on the floor

Zac HAPPY 21ST for the other day...hope you had fun!!:party:beer:birthday

Just watch a bit of the cricket Ireland beat Pakistan and it was still St Pat's day over there!!!:smirk:

Best rule to follow with shed space is to only allow things on the floor that have a footprint. That is it has wheels, legs or a base. If not, it has to go up or out.

I bought shelving secondhand off Ebay. The type that has the adjustable shelves on clips. Often referred to as 'Brownbuilt' shelving, as that was a common brand.

If you can get the old stuff, it will hold pretty heavy stuff. A bay of shelving usually has two sides and about 5 or 6 shelves. 2 metres high and shelves 1mtre wide and 300mm deep. There are other sizes. The bays can be attached to each other and continued, so if you have two bays, with a few extra shelves, you actually end up with 3 bays.

Expect to pay between $70 and $120 per bay depending on condition, size and number of shelves.

For shelving up here I keep an eye on the Auctions. There are a stack of warehouse setups going in then monday/tuesday auctions every week. They are the heavy type (Brownbuilt).

Am worried about collectable condoms though:duh???
