I'm too scared to look at our weather forcasts..my fingers are crossed for fair weather until the concrete is down and cured...I feel guilty BUT I want this over and to get my cars back home:kiss

Bathroom renovations are moving slowly. I still have to do the plaster joins in the ceiling and the cornice, and paint. I have to wait until I finish the laundry though so I can get the washing machine and dryer out of the bathroom.

Sounds like a continuous ball of fun Zac?

I have just started my third homebrew in three consecutive weeks. First brew is ready and nice. I am planning on stocking up and getting all of my 120 ish bottles filled.

I spent all day today assembling most of the laundry cabinet. It sounds slack to only get 3/4 of it done in a whole day, but it is only pre cut, and I have to scribe and cut all the footer, header, fillers and I am so fussy, everything has to be exact.

I'm gonna have another beer now.

well i'm finished now so i can't complain. i now have 8 weeks off!

yeh peter i'm looking at getting another fermenter. i've only got 48 or bottles and i need more too.

i've got 2 brews ready...a bavarian lager (coopers...$14 jobbies)...and a very very nice asahi from the homebrew place off victoria street. made with real hops, cold ferment (at 5-10degC) etc.

the asahi is fantastic. as good as the real stuff, and if you didn't know it was homebrew...you wouldn't be able to tell!

I have found colder fermenting is the better quality. Takes longer, but worth the wait.

Oh and the best thing about home brew is that it only costs about 60 cents a bottle (750ml). You save money, so the more you drink, the more you save. :duh

You are gonna love it Jen. Your own space. It is better than any room you can have in your house, apart from bedroom (must sleep), bathroom (must clean) and royal throne (must release). Our house is only just bigger than the garage by a couple of square metres. We have a loungeroom you can only just fit a regular lounge suite and TV in. We plan on having three children in this house. I grew up in a house like this, and my kids can too.

But garage - Must have garage space.

Don't worry Jen, I had very dry ground no rain for months, and the day before the concrete beams are to be laid for the slab it pours.

The guy putting it in said it was ok, as the concrete would push the water out, and I cut a drain at the back of the foundations for the water to rush straight out and into the drain.

Then the rain continued for weeks and slowed the laying of the main top slab for weeks.

I was on inside duties this weekend. I put the laundry trough in, tiles, ceiling cornice, painted ceiling, so one more room getting close to finished.

..Rob what is happening? I hope it is not too bad.....just had my young/old 23yr old daughter vist who has always felt older and wiser than anyone since she was born..I know all..and she vidited tonight snd I told her..like mother, like daughter :duh

We were able to laugh and bitch about things that are gripng us...I know she is strong and will survive in this world..I feel her struggles at times and know I am part of it

Teenage daughters are harder than sons is all I can say...sorry Rob!!

What's up? I work with a woman with teenage duaghters and she was waiting to go home to sort out her husbsnd and daughter who cme into conflict while she was off the scene!!! A lot more emotions involved than men can deal with sometimes:crazy:

Eddie is learning..he stayed inside while Bridie and I sat outside..sharing experiences and working on tactics to get through our current griefs....Eddie is wise..he stays inside and leaves all up to me!!

Eddie is only now finding out what it's like to be parent..he's lucky..only just starting with adult children..and I'm learning you are always the parent and always there...I so much more understand my parents now..you are always a parent and always care no matter how old your children are

...hmm don't know if that helped at all!! Just had a good time talking with Brides tonight when she dropped in..we talked and sared..and related..and we know we are OK in this crazy world..and we can ALWAYS talk.hehe

Bridie knows I have found a gem in Eddie...I found a good one..and he didn't have to deal with nappies:no:

Goodness...I have been feeling so parental tonight..Rob good luck..teenage daughters are harder..sorry:sandrine

You do have a shed??:D

So nice to catch up:sandrine:)
