yes Steve, Dean will be running at the supersprint and yes the turbo is staying on his bug . We did not go to all of this work to remove it and have
it stored in a box and put onto a shelf .
Dean is off to London on 1st July for 6 weeks training in the A320 airbus simulator . When he returns on 19th August , I may not be able to see him
before he hits the skies as a First Officer (co-pilot) for Jetstar ...... so I wanted him to have as much fun as he could before he gets tied up with
the massive pressure that he will be under when he resumes his training & career ......

Dean enjoyed himself immensly Ian , the fist punch was just a show of shear excitement after many late nights of work on his bug and acheiving
outstanding results once again .
The first run Dean left the line on fairly light throttle ( primary barrels only which is quite evident by the air/fuels around 6.2 )and made a pass
of 11.77@120mph . In the video you can see the ANDRA official lady walking away from Deans bug as he drives off into the pit area , she grabbed him at
the end of the return road and informed him that he went too fast for the event without a super-street licence ( cut-off is 12.0 secs ) . So off to
the scrutineering shed and $153 later Dean has a super-street licence and can continue to race .
The second run Dean gave it heaps more leaving the line with the secondary barrels open ( air/fuels now around 5.2 ) and he tells me that it felt
like his eyeballs crashed against the back of his skull , shifting through all the gears smoothly he felt that he had made the perfect pass for his
bug on the night 11.12@123mph , and the excitement was evident .  however , Dean almost made the super-street licence become
invalid as the cut-off for it is 11.0secs , any quicker and Dean would have needed an Unlimited licence and also upgrade his bug to Super-sedan specs
........
The third run Dean hammered it from the line , to have his bug break into wheelspin ( even feathering the throttle it would not gain traction ) and he
ran a 12.3@120mph

I took my girlfriend for a ride in the beetle yesterday and filmed her reactions with the GoPro. She said she thought it was pretty good until i
"flicked the switch" (6psi to 8.5psi) and then she was shocked at the power.
