Volkommen's Blue beetle did mid 11's on the 1/4, there was a feature story on it in either fast 4's or hot 4's.
When this article was written, it was the fastest street rego beetle in OZ...

Nice to have you with us again Mr Harris!

I guess when the new Eastern Creek dragstrip is open we can settle the argument once and for all, but I believe Leigh's results so far speak for themselves.

about 13's in leigh harris' bug.

I think the V-Force turbo bug will give it a run for its money, estimated at about 220HP @ the wheels possibly a low 11sec 1/4 mile pass. Its under a QLD rego though :)

Yeh,

I'm back fella's what's been happening on here. Has this string gone to the dogs, who's been lying and why aren't you all in the garage working like I've been! Beers where, who and when?

Fraser what's the state of play and Phil are you ready for those sixty schooners of beer this year!

Now let's get back to it, just spent and hour reading about 1916's and never laughed so hard. Never realised motor sizes were so close to the heart of so many people! Now who's on first?

OK , I'll bite, it did 9.8 last year before all the headwork & the ratio rockers, & thats also with an L-bug gearbox. I'm also a girl at leaving the lights, Lets see, I know that u sit at the lights revving the shit out of it & dump it, ( u have to rev the 1916cc to make it work apparently, motorcycle theory & all) u have one of the most trick gearboxes around (so I am told ) u even said yourself that u can't do supersprints with your car since the 4th gear is lower than a stock 3rd gear! & correct me if I'm wrong, isn't your car the Mullers old rally car & it's one of those 76 models with the thinner metal ???
Do u have a stereo , carpet, soundprrofing etc in your car? Lets compare apples with apples Craig. Take a reality pill dude!
go to bed man, it's late.

Jak

It was a big bite Craig, sorry mate. Bit greedy. I don't drive the drivability one bit. I can make my K-8 engine with 1.4 rockers & 555 thou lift pull from 1500rpm in 4th & that was with the L-bug box, I know it can be done although most people don't believe me.
