Have taken a massive turn in this project, and have decided it will be a body-off-pan RATSTORATION..
Spent hours on this over the last days trying to get all the bolts out, and here we are !!

Now that this has been done, we can get to everything better to work on it, and the body is flying high so we can weld in the new heater channels

And today.....
2 boxes arrived in the mail for me
Yay! Mirrors!!.
I have originally planned to do the hinge pins, and get the mirrors to attach onto the hinge pins, but sold those, and then decided to go for these...
They are similar to the Porsche 356 style mirrors i think

Doing well dude
Just a wee note about the placement of the fuel pump gaskets. The one that has the large hole in it actually sits under the plastic spacer and then
the one with 3 small holes on top of the spacer. However, getting the spacer/pedestal out is tricky cos it has a long nose that goes down into the
engine and the nose engages with a boss inside the crankcase. It's this nose that gets rather stuck in the boss and many times it breaks upon trying
to remove and you have to try and extract the rest using a coarse thread screw into the nose's remains. So upto you if you want to go to the trouble.
So long as the lower gasket ain't leaking then maybe leave it be
madness is in the eye of the beholder

I had a look on the Glasurit website for you about the L87 paint formula.
There is no green tint used. They use a sepia brown, light blue and a touch of black with the base colour and pearling tint.
Every paint manufacturer will have different pigments that make up their tints that go into the overall paint mix formula and so whatever Supercheap
use may have green in the formula but you are also having a relatively inexperienced person mixing the paint for you compared to a paint supplier
who's been doing this for years. One gram over the stated formula amount in a 400gm aerosol can easily change the overall colour of the mix.
Try Prestige Paints over in Archerfield. They're the nearest Glasurit stockist to you.

Body Lift
Just a thought with your ratchet body lift.
What are your plans to lower it?
When you release those ones, it will drop instantly to the ground.
You are probably aware of this, I'm just making sure.
Great work and progress, by the way.

Yeah... I was kinda stuck on that one . Nah, when we were lifting it up,
the ratchet strap got full a couple of times, so me and my brother held the weight of the car, while my dad un-did the ratchet strap and emptied it,
then did it back up again.. . I suppose we'll have to do the same when
lowering
