Depemds what engine you have it it and so on, i have a video of a mk1 golf obvioulsy suped beating a porsche 911 then i have other videos of it
beating like fully suped honda civics and stuff.

Thats true I have WANKERS try and Drag me all the time, when I'm driving my XR8. Sometimes when there is a car Load of them, I just say
Don't dream you LOOSERS and clean BLOW them away.
Also since my wife has a 96 Mk3 Golf and I drive it sometimes I know how Gutless they are compared to a V8. And to be perfectly honest they handle
well but they arn't very comfortable to drive. That's why we are looking for another V8 Falcon for her.  |

Seriously though, it's obvious the golfs will win this poll. Afterall, the golf was in the top 5 of the most produced cars of all time. Whereas
baja's are made by individuals, so there aren't that many of them. More golfs means more votes.
We need people who have owned both to vote, like Andrew. And I'm guessing he went the Baja vote.

now i have always said that if a mini (classic not the bmw rape) was aircooled it would be the second best car on earth.. and i guess that the golf is
a step down from that dream, making it third to a baja/buggie..
i guess there is something fantastically appealing about a car that wants to go offroad and you feel like you are doing it an injustice on tarmac.. i
dunno golfs are good but its no contest

Well Golfs are nice but they are Mass produced. Most Bajas are home made with the builders own touches, and you will never see 2 Bajas that are same.

i like golf's, any model or year they look great and you can do them up like animals and also the golf r32 is coming out soon, and my dad has 2
ones a 95 vr6 and the other one is a 85 cabrio with 17in rims but hes selling that one  i dont want him to ohh yeahh and it also starred in girls
just wanna have fun coz we baught it off universal studios from the states and it sed wat movie it was in soo yeahh GO THE GOLF!!

Well Golfs are Kwel but i would have to say that a Baja is hmmm better in ways but depends on how new the Golf is as the brand new or should i say the
current model Golf's floor pan is atcually the floor of a new Beetle so in saying this i would have to definatly go with the Gold as hmmmm i own
