Thanks guys! I got a comment from the MAN himself. Your ride is about as perfect as it's possible to get Dasdubber.

And Beerdoc, you're right about having a girl to help you out with your hobbies. Especially one as talented and nice as mine:)

And thanks to Barry as well, who is sending me some centrecaps for my wheels, from the goodness of his heart - you're a champ!nn[ Edited on 1-8-05 byEgeWorks ]

Well this week I got some fat new torsion bars put in and lowered the back at the same time. Much thanks to Steve Carter for the bars.

I also put on some centrecaps which I have been waiting ages for. They really finish off the wheels well. Thanks Barry.

Sorry my ride is a bit dirty but it's been bucketing down all week here in lovely Melbourne...

It sure has changed a lot. There are still lots of things to do though. I'm not sure what the next thing will be, depends on time and funds. Maybe some ratio rockers or pop-outs.

U got a good security system on that thing? I would be crazy about protecting it. I would have proximity alarms/warnings and everything, wouldn't want people talking the caps, wheels wateva really. Maybe thats an idea to invest in. Just a suggestion.

Haha. I got no security on it at all. I've actually left it unlocked for days at a time I'm embarrassed to say. Lucky I guess. The wheels don't use a normal stud and the the caps can't come off unless you take off the wheels.

My bro has a VH Commadore which is parked next to mine all the time, it has been vandalised a bunch of times and nothing on mine. I guess thugs around here think VWs are crap...

Worst that has happened is people opening doors into it in carparks. That annoys me no end.

Got these on over the past two days. 36IDFs. It was the WORST job. No end of trouble fitting them. Anyone who is thinking of doing it for the first time - take out the engine! It was really hard to do inside the engine bay. Still needs a good tune but at least it's running!

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v55/egeworks/webers.jpg

BTW I need a longer hex bar, anyone have a spare they would like to sell?

I also rewired the engine bay - 30 plus year old wires are very brittle! It was a wonder the car even ran...nn[ Edited on 23-9-05 by EgeWorks ]nn[Edited on 23-9-05 by EgeWorks ]

I did cut holes for idle adjustment and spark plug removal. The bolts are a real pain, the ones on the inside took a good 15 mins each but I'm pretty sure there are no air leaks.

I can tell you, I wouldn't like to have to do it again. If they need to come off, or the engine out, I might have to give in and get someone else to do it. They sound sweet though!

Ask and you will receive Barry! I have to say I was impressed with the quality of the running boards, well formed and welded with good thick mounting brackets and a great finish. Better than most new Empi stuff I've seen.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v55/egeworks/runningboards01.jpg

I also put this in yesterday too! Splitta fans you can bag me out all you want!
