All Done, well for now anyway!
We got Lichen all ready for the Falls Festival, "Fools" JoTas, if you have never been your comments are lame! Anyway off we went, two klms down the
road the brakes started to bind, it has a power assist unit and its not connected up, which in turn holds the brakes on a fraction, so when we got to
the open road we released a little fluid to well release the pressure, all ok, 30 klms further down the road we ran out off fuel LOL, bloody guage,
mmmmm, well gota blame somthing, RAC came out and got us on the way again, arrived fine at the festival, here are some piccies to keep you up to
date.
Another thread soon as there was 60+ kombis there and we got piccies of 90% of them, and will tell you more about the trials of the trip
Anyway enjoy
Happy new year to you all
Andy

Totally Fried
HaHaaaa, Looks like i totally fried the thrust bearing, i took a risk using the old one that has not turned for 15 years, looked and the bearings
sounded ok, but under preasure it couldn't handle it. it went with a bang let me tell you, but managed to drive without using the clutch for 60 klms,
when arrived back in hobart i stopped and had a mate tow me home, here is some piccies to show you what happens when the thrust bearing siezies, i
replaced it today and only took me 50 mins to remove the motor add new stuff and refit, i was stoked!!
