went to a speedway expo on the weekend, they use torsion bars on the sprintcars. those ones you have on the back look very similar

The torsion bar at the rear is in fact a front suspension bar from a sprint car , that hs been narrowed and now is used as an anti roll bar . The
purpose of this bar is to prevent the car from twisting due to the amuont of torque produced by the engine .I do not know if this will be any
advantage on a vw powered car , so if I find that it dosen't need to be there it will be taken off . Here is another view of the set up . Thanks for
looking so hard at the pic's and I welcome any questions as some of you people seem interested in the info .thanks ROD.

Dude i dont know what others think but it dont really look to similar to a new beetle. The gaurds maybe. And isnt the Volkswagon "aircooled" concept
a rear mounted engine. Keeping it simple. Remember Volkswagon started out as the "peoples car". |

Here are some pic's of the new body complete with doors that I will be using . The new body is a mixture of both carbon fibre and fibre glass , due
to extensive research I found out that a full carbon body would be extremely hard to repair as it tends to shatter from an accident . So in case of
the unfortunate accident that can happen , the fibre glass will hold the body together making it easy to repair . The down side to this is that it has
added about 8-9 kg's to the body making the entire body including strengthening braces and doors 42kg's .ROD.

Whats with all these comments about VW bits....Its a funkin drag car for christ sake!
The car is VW derived...
If you check the rules that Rod will be running in, both national and international, the rules state only that the engine be based/derived on an
original vehicle design concept (In this case an air-cooled engine), and the profile of the body must be based on a production vehicle (In this case a
NB). Obviously, there will be very little actual VW parts in the car... Considering the speeds this car will be capable off and the skills needed to
drive it, let alone build it, the configuration is the most logical set-up.
Funnily enough...Just like all the other cars that run in the class.
