Trent, you can edit out your spelling or other
stuff you might want to add by clicking the
top right hand side of the actual post where
it says "edit" and then a new screen will come
up that allows you to fix up or add.
Then down the bottom it says "edit post'...click on that.
I always go back and try to tidy up mine so that
all the writing fits the page nicer.

No I only ever dynoed the N/A pauter.
The pan car car ran 147mph@1870lbs with the blown engine...break out the maths books.
Since then I have lost 30kgs off my ass.

Dave , your pauter blown motor, rods old chasis car, your off and running. Will run some good times , pan car not the best for a high hp Pauter.

sorry, the times are already great, but maybe they could become even better.

Not a real fan of chop tops.
And besides, my chassis car is probably lighter and less work to get running.
Never say never!

Also hope to re-design the rear suspension.

Hi Trent,
Right now as it sits in the pan car it made 188@ wheels
or about 215@FW.
Why so low?
It has made as much as 275 FW but I mucked around
with it and went backwards. The comp was 14:1 but is currently
12.7 because I shimmed up the barrels to fit more valve lift in.
The comp is still enough to make good power, but
the .120" deck height has killed the burn quality.
Oh yeah, I was too scared to run the 1.6 rockers and
went back to the 1.4s, so I ended up with a low compressoin
and inefficient 2700cc engine that, as it turns out, is a good start
for me to get keen again.....which I am!
I have one more test session this year with the car as is,
and then will make some changes by using my spare which has a
bigger roller cam, or strip this one and try to fit the lift (.720")
in there while keeping the tight deck height. (new pistons)
Would love to see some more serious N/A cars.

HI BUS23Q

hope to go fast real soon.it has been a long time since i have been in the car and i am getting excited about running again.hope to run in the nines at 150+ mph and then gas the car to go even faster.....firstly get a few solid passes under my belt.

progress has been a little slower than i would like at city performance ..partly due to the fact that one of the employees went fire walking .... think he temporarily lost the plot .....and i am waiting on some more parts from RLR MOTORSPORT....

Currently running 56mm throttle bodies and mechanical injection
on alcohol, but am waiting with anticipation for your results with
the Motec system....and I love their CDI system!
What is the investment for the package?....(I will install it my self)
U2U me if you think people will be scared.

Dave not sure of individual prices ..but m800...adl with logging...cdi...e88 expander....sensors ...all these parts were 20-25k.
the units themselves are reasonable..it is all the upgrades and sensors that cost when you want a lot of logging...
think http://www.cityperformancecentre.com  has an updated price list that you can look at.....or call allesio at city performane he will be happy to work out a setup and quote for you...hope that helps...a full system is a good investment as you can always keep it for your next car...think the major cost is to do with the dash and logging....would probably half the cost without it ...but i think that it is critical for a car with a large investment ...it will eventually save testing time and money as well as help to get to the next level...

Dave i was not sure about it when i heard the price as well but when you do the research and find out the potential of a large system like this it is amazing...there are endless options to choose motec are now focussing on drag racing especially with logging.......it is totally up to you as to where you go and how much you want to spend...i love it totally recomended...e.g.for example nitrous control.....you can run fuel through the injectors .....switch on or off by throttle position ..no micro switch.....run multible stages controlled by time or gear or rpm or whatever variable that you can think of...this is just a small amount that you can do with nitrous.. the system is endless...will take time to set up ..but it will be worth it in the long run....

Thanks for the info Trent.
I had heard of the costs before from a
touring car mate.....they have all the
bells and whistles too.
Yes I totally agree with the advantages and
that there is no other way to do it properly.
When you factor in what is invested in the
engine, there is no point in spoiling that with
guesswork or poor tuning. So the full Motec sytem is worth every penny.
I will look into this very seriously.
On another note, I have someone who may
be interested in your old tranny....is there
any thing left other than shrapnel?
