aiming for to get it done for the June LWE in Narooma. Still a looong way to go. Those pics are a few weeks old now, ended up replacing 90% of the running gear, the motor was a drop in, but checked over ... feels like everything else has been swapped. The auto electrican rewired it last week, so it's pretty much registerable.

Massive amounts still to be done for the interior fit out still ...

23/06 Update

Look! It stands up on it's own ... seems like it's been on the hoist forever...so big smiles today to see it on the floor. The suspension height is pretty 'stock', can go down a bit, but not doing that until got all the test of the gear in it. Hoping to get down there tonight to underseal the chassis ... but looks like some joker's parked in front of my HOIST.

....turned it over for the first time tonight, turned the lights on ... it works!!! when I get the gear stick in and an accel pedal might go for a drive....

Not so much to do now....

The dash shelf has been painted matt black as a homage to it's creator.

Indicators and dropped front bar - no seam! - worked out well. Rossi style headlights.

Chrome hot rod style indicators which are very bright. US spec lens' which are repro - but now got some noice Hella German ones with VW chrome not repro...

Didn't always look this good ---- this time last year ----

Still got a long way to go, not started the interior yet, that is a massive job for what I want. Will be ready for Narooma I hope in June. And yes, wallet is low....and that's without the Deluxe Trim, Disc brakes, Safaris, Roof Racks etc.

The window frames are ordinary...but will do for now...couldn't afford to do everything I wanted. But guess I'm not alone in that.

Did start it tonight ... that was cool ... and turned on the lights ... with the addition of a gear stick and acel pedal it might even drive I dunno.
