Magazine coverage - you might be better aiming for bitumen, rather than paper at this stage
[ Edited on 22-6-2006 by VWCOOL ]
| You sound very cut Glenn.......

'Cut'? As in drunk?!
No.
But until you're a "Doer" you'll be a "Gunna". And gunnas don't get much magazine coverage!
| Glenn, wtf with the mag coverage, ive never ask for it.Ive acheived something you will never acheive Glenn and thats building a proper
racecar(Doer)and been on a racetrack!..."Gunna" is a bloke like yourself that strive to put peoples acheivements below your own standards.
|
There was mention of magazine coverage - maybe in jest. I've made comment that the aim should be to get the car onto a track, not in a magazine.
Sorry if I intepreted a post or thread the wrong way
You've built a 'proper' race car? Well, that's good. I look forward to seeing it on a proper race track. One day.

Hi JVL
When you quote somebody, please make sure your comments are outside the quote area, its really hard to find what you are saying amid all the quotes.
JVL, please come along to Valla and race then you will shut all these wallies up.

you better all stop bitching and get some quick VW's out to the track this year .
I want to see if any tintop comes close to the lap times my sports sedan was doing around Raleigh 2 years ago with a normally aspirated type-4 engine
. Was 3 secs a lap quicker than any other tintop back then and also 2 years prior to that .........
Just get out and have a go and have fun..........
sports sedan can be viewed at http://www.wpvw.com.au

Maybe I miss the point of racing - isn't racing all about having fun (unless you do it for a job)? Remember there are always a lot of "lurkers"
watching in on these types of threads - I can't say it creates a supportive atmosphere for newbies wanting to give it a go.
Maybe less :vader -ing and more :kiss -ing

What a mongrel of a weekend
I won't be there; unfortunately I'm double booked:
There's a Porsche Club NSW Supersprint at Oran Park on Saturday.
Good luck to all those racing.
CYA CT
I thought tye Yokohama ute racing at Philip Island clashed too but it doesn't. It clashes with the next PCNSW round on 20th August. What a mongrel
month.

there are around 20 entries, and with one lap only per run, we are going to get heaps of track time-whoo hoo!

well, there was plenty of angry driving up the road from Valla today. the feild was turning over at a rapid pace, with a sighting lap and six timed
laps for each competitor, squeezed in over a three hour period, WITH a 3/4 hour lunch break!
just some teaser shots for now, i literally had my hands full after the flag dropped, so sorry, no action shots yet.
a sample of the field....
and the all important times!!! ( yes Craig proper beam timing:P ....normal start line position, with the finish beam at the top of the hill before the
tight downhill section that leads back to the former start finish line)
another 10 laps to go tomorrow :thumb

Ya know what would be great!
Occasionally down here in grubby Wollongong, the Kembla Grange Kart track has a corporate relay day. Not sure exactly how it works but I think you
have teams of drivers all doing stints in the car for certain periods of time.
This would be a blast. You could have a hellbug team, a durie team a pobjoy team, old and bold, young and dumb, queer and no fear..... any teams you
want. Not sure when in the weekend you could fit it in, but I'd most definitely be up for it.
