Other hobbies... I collect old Apple computer equipment... and a few other antique microcomputers such as the BBC Acorn, C64 and whatever, and vintage audio equipment such as tube radios, turntables, amps etc...

You could say I am a nerd! :dork:

I'm fond of old british cars too... particularly minis and old Morris Commercials... but unfortunately I dont have any right now (altho I found a nice Morris J2 at a wrecker that I wouldnt mind getting my hands on :tu:).

I'm fairly new to the world of VeeDubs, but I'm actually having a ball building my 61 Baja. Can't wait to actually drive it! I get to race my radio controlled Baja every Friday nite tho!
Other than that I'm usually working on my Mazda RX7, or my Mazda minitruck. I love downhill mountain bikes, music and I used to draw a fair bit.
I have a fairly big Die-cast Car collection too. a few Volkswagens, and Mazdas, and DUB models.
And I'm into body piercing and tattoo's :bounce

to weird TV shaped salt and pepper shakers,

I also collect and restore push bikes, old guitars, the list goes on.....

so i'll have all my cycling whims taken care of.

The VW has taken a back-seat to my other hobbies atm (the bug being 100kms away doesnt help much)

Lurve the B&W pics....actually they all look good!!! Especially the ones of you:kiss:o
No real hobby as such apart from VW's but i like to collect "gadgets" and electronics....have a nice record/gramaphone collection from the 1900's but have not played them (about 120 odd) they probably sound like crap.Looking after kids takes up any time i would have had spare....

G'day,

Other than VWs (which has taken up most of my hobby time for 40+ years), I like building stuff from other peoples rubbish, and have built a couple of one-off custom 4x4s.
I like the challange of proven people wrong when they say "it can't be done", gives me a great deal of satisfaction.
Will scan in some pics when the scanner is going again.

Cheers, Ian.

yeah, for sure... its awesome stuff hey?.... thats one of the main reasons I came back to Melbourne... I've competed in a few seasons with impro Melbourne, but the Belvoir street crew in Sydney were cliquey and a bit snooty....so its great to be straight back into rehearsals tonight, for shows coming up in a couple of weeks.... gonna have to get some solid adult diapers.... I'm rusty as .... you in Camden?... the only thing I could suggest, is check out the Actors centre in Surry Hills...they do some good solid improv classes there, once a week....drop ins, so you can go whenever

if ya make it down here though, you're on mate!

way cool, Im getting the vintage boards as well, nothing quite likee them to ride. learnt to surf on a 6'4" Ram twinny (MR replica) and i am currently the proud owner of a 5'10" '78/'79 Carabine single which is an insane weapon in fast breaks like Snapper and a '60's Rob Teys (woolseley?) 8'ish convex bottomed beast/pig board which is like nothing else on this planet to ride.

Hi

I was scout leader, I followed my son from cubs to scouts. I made a lot of very good freinds with parents and kids. I taught one my older scouts how to drive, got his liscense 1st go. I retired this year when my son went to venturers, I feel i needed to give him some space.

I also edit the Club Vee Dub Sydney magazine and also look after the clubs website.

So Im doing lots of house stuff now, then I can get back to the Beetles.
