I'd look into that a little more serious before going ahead. We had that done at work years ago (glass beads added to an epoxy paint). Was done professionally but was crap. The worst part is it was impossible to clean unless you want to gerni it regularly. It's also affects the paint sticking as good as it could.
I'd recommened a good paint (or epoxy if funds allows), keep it clean and dry and slipping will not be an issue.
