1. My fault for not reading your original post properly, and yes you did explain it well. My only excuse is that I've been going straight to the last
post to follow along with the whole sad story and had forgotten your original post. To be honest, there has been so many unfortunate twists in the
saga, that I wasn't sure what you've taken off, left on or fixed.
2. Yes I'm a newbie to the forum, but not to Volkswagens.
3. No I'm not the eBayer that you so rightly have it in for.
4. I'd love to buy your car, but unfortunately I don't currently have the available funds. If it's still around in a month or so (I hope it's not
for your sake), I'd very strongly think about it - (got too many cars as it is though, and not sure how the wife would react to another one!)
5. I find it interesting, and a bit disturbing that just because I'm new to the forum, haven't posted before and haven't bothered to add a profile
as yet - that you immediately assume that I'm some sort of a-hole! Do you also think that because I'm new to the forum that I know nothing about
cars - let alone Vw's? I think this says more about you than it does of me.
6. I live in the northern suburbs of Brisbane, but hale from the Canberra region. I joined the forum to find out what's happening in the VW community
in this neck of the woods. I've owned 12 Dubs in my 30 plus years of driving and have been out of the "fold" for some time now. My intention is to
get back into it in a month or two - and I've been looking at all Type 1's that are on the forum. When I get a car, I will post all about it on the
forum. Oh yes, I won't be buying anything off eBay - I'm just not that brave.
7. I understand that you've been disappointed about the "Non Sale" of your 55, but taking it out on me just because I'm new isn't called for.
IMHO.
As I've mentioned in my previous post, I wish you luck with your sale and any and all future VW adventures.

Thats ok, I didn't assume you were, but I thought I'd ask.....not that you'd say if you were, I wouldn't expect anyoen to own up to being that
shithouse!

Don't take it to heart, it just seemed suspiciously like the whole ebay root around all over again with no info etc(yes I'm abit touchy over it
all), and just saying "pity about ebay" got me going......bloody ebay, never sell anything on there!!!!.....but on the other hand, where have I said
that I assume you know nothing about cars?

Sounds great, unfortunately the scene up here aint like what it seems to be down south.....if you are into that style anyway....which I am!

it is keeping me sane!

Thanks, and same to you!
On another note, the car is kinda on hold for someone, pending a deposit!

I don't blame you for being pissed about the eBay stuff, we recently bid on and won a eBay Video Camera auction. The seller had a great rep and all
seemed good. So we sent off the bucks and, well you've probably guessed already, but no Camera has arrived at our humble abode. We've been through all the steps eBay provide to settle this
thing - but to no avail. eBay say they can't do anything else to help, so we have submitted an official complaint through the NSW Fraud Squad, (the
seller is somewhere in Sydney), but realistically I doubt we'll ever see the camera or the cash again. So eBay is now off our favourites from now
on.
I appreciate you getting back to me, and all is cool. Good news about the pending deposit, I really hope it goes through ok. On the other hand, I
hope it doesn't for a month or so - I should have the bucks by then!
Have a great Easter, and hope to see you on the road sometime.

deposit taken, so the car is sold pending final payments.
