Unfortuatley I had to work so couldn't make it, but the rest of the family went out & had a good day.
They could'nt believe their eyes when they saw Mr Dumpletons old splitty ute ("skurvy")...
We went down to Kangaroo Valley years & years ago & draged it out of the scrub under his house!!
Great to see someone could eventually get it back on the road where it belongs after all this time!

Looks like Damo's Adelaide flag has taken a bit of a battering. Sorry I wasn't there this year, but had just got back from OS that morning. See you
there next year.

Daily Driver awards..???
Many thanks for the Pics Kev & Mike
and the good comments...
I don't enter any shows as I am in the same class as PH Billet...
and I cannot beat His car...
I did read after Valla [I think] that winners should be exempt from winning the following year.. etc..
that sounds great... but then i think of all the great VWs I've seen at the VW nationals and Valla over the years and have never seen them
again...
so maybe SHOW cars AND a DAILY DRIVER show
seperate...
as mentioned there are always great cars in the carparks..
except at VALLA - Nambucca where everyone can park together... NOW that IS good...
a participation sticker would be good at ALL shows...
good quality vinyl sticker with the year and show on it...
2008 Nationals - Judging was much faster due to being processed as you drove in....
Not good when you have just driven for 3 hours in Rain..
I have spoken to a few people who don't drive all the way from Country NSW to the shootout, as its not a BIG show and not enough attractions...
I Don't need a band or loud Music at a Car show etc...
I'm NOT knocking - just trying to figure out how to make US all happy, so We will go to VW shows...
3+ hours of driving to get to a show and then return
the venue Must be great.... IMHO..
LEE
Lower the entry fees next year - publicise the fact and see what happens... None of us like spending money...lol
except on Our VWs of course....

I enjoy looking at PH BILLET every time see it ,
just to see if there is something i have missed or as is usually the case, what is new on it.
So much work has gone into this that it's hard to take it all in, your effort is respected & appreciated Mr H,
Missing the roof rack !
What can i do to get you to make me some of those ramps for another car....not vw, need to fit 285 tyres ?? please
Step up to get out !!!

I like Your message at the bottom of Your posts..
Some old - something new...
thats how i think...
only old things are the original parts...
New things replace old parts...
including Non VW parts...
remote oil cooler - electric fuel pump - regulator - VW alternator - carby - electronic ignition- late model engine lid - etc..
