Dave B ,text update , Rodney P test & tune last night 7.1 at 94 mph with no nitrous on . Has car set with 100hp kit this week-end . Mike K blown
ghia did a nice burnout & launch .

Dont bother trying to ring it though.
But it is great to connect to the computer for up dates from the club dining room at Portland drag Way.
Big day today with plenty of nice runs,
and while the sky was over cast, the temps were nice and cool
with mid twenties temps and air below 1000ft RA for most of the day.
Carnage wise Mark G broke a SAW axle after many solid mid 7 passes
and James' Type three was on the trailer with what is yet to be
confirmed drive train woes in his 275hp turbo/Holley combo.
Mike K ran some on and off passes and one at around 100mph
but has left the track this evening to find some ne to TIG weld and exhaust crack.
Dave Stoker's car sems to have torched a head, because of the excellen air that portland has.
Rodney ran a 6.6 at nearly 109mp with 100 gas.
DoC ran a 7.8 at around 88mph, but tried the gas with no huge improvement,
perhaps running a little rich but still in the hunt for more runs tomorrow.
Wayne/Boris/Birchall ( Vintage car ) broke a trans and Rodney has lent them his spare, so will be up for more tomorrow.
Plenty of other good runsbut it is late.

I don't know what times but Mr Berry's car is running fine .Having a little trouble getting off the line .
Hep , Nick made it with white junker but is taking it easy off start line today ( tomorrow is another day ).
There was good traction and a nice croud atending to .

I called Aaron B yesterday and Matt B answered the fone, then Nick picked it up, then god knows who else, then finally Aaron.... It seems everyone is
having a blast and the rest of us are hangin on every msg from the track! Brian White sent me a couple of pics from the pits yesterday too....
I'm so pissed that I couldn't make the run from Radilaide with SA boys, but there is always next year....

I don't have many, and none is especially good quality, so you'll have to hold on until the serious photographers get back next week....
The event was an absolute blast, even though I had to leave Sat. niight, and the organisation was top notch. Anyone who missed out should definitely
consider it for next year, but pack some windproof gear (there are large windfarms nearby, and they weren't placed there randomly...).
