I need a headlight surround for a 76 Beetle, do you have one that suits? As good condition as possible as the one I want to replace has s light dent.

the 1976 beetle had plastic headlamp surrounds instead of chromed steel ones... and only had the one screw hole at the bottom as the headlights were adjusted behind the surround..

later model chromed ones will fit...
but they do have two other adjuster screws... with long screws..

Apologies Lee, this may sound a bit daft, but thought 76 (or 77) was the last year Beetles were made in Germany. Hence, what do you mean by later model?

And are there steel headlight surrounds as well that will fit? They would probably suit me better as I am planning a de-chrome of my car.

You mean the small number plate lamp..
pre 1964??

the Pope's nose lamp was so called as it was also the brake light
and glowed RED when the brakes were used...
the round tail lamps were only tail lamps...

these are ON split window beetles.... EARLY..

I thought that was an early popes nose on pre58 and then 59-60 was a wider popes nose before the big wide licence plate light came about and stayed until the end
