I have been nothing but honest through the whole process.
I don't mean to rub anyone's nose in it, just telling it how it played out.
After having been at the pointy end of new VW sales for the past few years, it's really refreshing to chat with fans of the product who aren't only
interested in "my best price" when their trying to buy(steal) one from me.

And yes it will go towards getting the 57 back on the road. Just pulled the engine and fuel tank out today, turns out the tank is 1/3 full of
rust/crusty goodness.
Is the easiest way out of this replacing it with a Bay unit? Or perhaps a custom Stainless jobbie?
Any suggestions folks?

you can get new tanks but best to put a baywindow one in , modify filler neck and straps , bonus is its 12v .
