The old chassis has gone to another racer in Sydney
and will be at Warwick too apparenly.
Could be one of a few different drivers from what the grape vine says.
Dave Stoker wants to enter the new car within the nostalia series (as well as Warwick and Portland style events),
and a supercharger is a little more welcome for the old school promoters.
Plus Dave S. likes to fabricate and machine new stuff,
so this project is probably just something new to keep the juices flowing.
My understanding is that Mike Waldron will still be the pilot.

Ok, seeing as though im sitting here at work doing nothing, i thought i might update on whats been happening... or even whats not been happening been busy with other commitments but slowly making some headway with both
cars(some more than others ).
so here's a summary of the past week or two:
my car - stinger came off and street muffler went back on
- got washed..... and went to dino's hotrod show on sunday
- Picking up my new PAUTER 1.4 rockers tonight!!! pics up later tonight when i get back from mike's
(CBB)... this means i have all i need now to do a quick head swap for warwick hmmmm....
mike's car - made up new support framework for front apron and guards
- took out steering rods for further re-working (changed mind)
- made seat frame and fitted seat
- fitted new (extended for better driving position) steering column shaft
- modified and fitted front shocks
- started making up support frame for rear P/S guard
and as for pics, ill see if i can convince him to let me post more up

Just a tip for you: You dont want the oil breather lines to go up, then down, then up again as the oil will be trapped like the "S" bend in a
toilet. This will mean the motor will not breath unless it pushes the oil out of the lines up into the tank. Also the oil will not be able to return
back to the engine easily.
Love the rockers !!

yeah not how i wanted to run the lines but it only needs to last a few months as its all going to get changed when i go turbo and injected.... it was
the only way i could run them without having the angles of the lines too tight... it seems to be working fine at the moment and any oil that gets
trapped in the dip i figure will drain back to the motor anyway once it fills up too much so its not toooooo bad...... ill have to re-vamp all the lines and re-think it all when it goes
back in with the new setup.

Hey Polak
I, d be interested to know what rocker covers your planing to use, as I have the same rockers on my 2332cc motor. I ordered a pair of CB performance
alloy covers but I can't seem to get them to fit with these rockers.

The Scat stainless should clear, they use a bailey clip and have internal tangs top and bottom to keep the gasket in place. I've found them the best
to use.

hey, im using the (forgive me for the swear word) EMPI rocker covers i already have, im hoping they will work as they are really high and should
provide enough clearance.... mike is using the scat rocker coverson his 2442 and they seem to clear his pauter 1.5's so they would work well too....
but since the cast empi ones i have look higher ill see how they go.....

hey craig, they're actually oval ports but yeah, i want to use them in the turbo set up which will hopefully happen after warwick..... should flow
nicely, i just might have to de-comp them, see how i go... im still yet to calculate the comp ratio of them.... seeing as though they are a
performance head i naturally assume they will be too high a comp for the turbo set up.......

not yet dave, been workin during day and nights being spent on other cars, id like to get it swapped over next week though.... dont know how much
power it will make, and as long as i make it down the 1/8th mile at warwick without breaking anything i will be thrilled.... plus i havent run this
car at all before so i need to learn how to drive it first

i never said anything about it making good power and i dont think 74.8hp at the wheels is anything to rave about, but i was happy with it being the
first time on the dyno and still running stock heads on a 1776....... and as for full of steam or full steam ahead.... welll i guess its a little bit
of both you need to make steam before you can use it
right?........
1st thing that will be getting addressed this week is the axle tramp issue, already have gearbox strap, gearbox brace, nolathane bushes and kyb shocks
(which helped heaps) but next step is thicker spring plates, heavier torsion bars and nolathane bushes in the spring plates.... should get rid of the
rest, if not i need to get a trapeze brace kit or whatever they are called.... after thats done, ill hopefully have enuf time to get the heads in as i
still will need time to get it re-tuned again......
