Just got home.... 4 runs and progressivly quicker with each run i'm down to 14.43 at 93.3 MPH don't know what the 60f 1/8 was cos the dick in the commodore must have taken the time slip (smoked him and he took the evidence) not to bussy out there either.
I think it might be time for a Bigger Cam.

Mate can't wait for a 13. ( didn't think I would even get into the 14's) I really need a close ratio box cause it dies heavily going from 3rd to 4th but it will do for the moment. My times were

r/t .011 60' 2.21 1/8 9.614 1/4 15.166 at 88.71mph
r/t .114 60' 2.15 1/8 9.516 1/4 14.997 at 89.65mph
r/t .053 60' 2.09 1/8 9.462 1/4 14.922 at 88.76mph
stolen time slip 1/4 14.43 at 93.3 mph
( last run with the fan belt off).

I'm out there again on Wed Feb 10th ( Can't help myself..)

OK i have the CAM in ( W130, thanks CT) just have to test the valve's won't hit tomorrow, i think it will be ok..... Not going to bother putting the tinwear back on cause it is only getting a couple of runs. I think this will be the most I can get out of it before spending some serious cash. From here I will go to Gunnadah for the 1/8 and one more trip to willobank for another tnt. I'm still running the std box and i am saving for a new one, that will be later in the year and all going well for Warwick.

Found the problem from Gunnedah, the Valve with its collets on has pulled through the Retainer. The Valve has hit the top of the piston and bent it. the guide is rooted and the valve seat has been hit a few times and also has had it. It could be a quik fix and next time out I will have a rev limiter.

Result is another fix job on the engine.....Not sure what it is but bit of a knocking sound....enough that i put it on the trailer after two runs.
1st run
.252 60" 1.926 1/8 8.963 @74.58 mph 1/4 14.248 @91.35 fastest run ever. and again it died into 4th
2nd run tried to get off the line in 3rd gear ( what a dickhead).
.373 60" 3.167 1/8 10.317 @74.04 mph 1/4 15.602
@91.49
The engine sounded great to start with but i will have to get a rev limiter.... I'll go back to a 009 with a limiter rotor in it.
