Today was the old girls first drive. Got rego all done yesterday, it is 5 months to the day since I bought it. I'm so happy to own my first VW. I loved the short drive to work.

I believe I saw you driving down Victoria road yesterday at about 5:30'ish. You were about the cross the Iron Cove bridge. Looks fantastic! I didn't have enough time to give you a wave as I was going the other way.

Haven't had much time on her lately.
Chrome trims are now on, clear indicators and new plates.
Still have the headlining to fit and window trims. Thinking I'll drop it another notch all round.
Just need time to do all that.
Anyone want to do it for me?

Hi crew. It's been a while. So I finally pulled out my motor to find a killer noise. I was super happy it find that it was the fan. I had a 2nd hand motor ready to put back in just in case. My only set back was I swapped exhausts and fitted the extractors, but I need to fit a muffler as the one on the extractors won't fit an would be on the ground.
Any ideas/ photos would help.
Man it was noisy driving to work. ;)

Haven't posted for a long time.
Finally sorted out my motor issues. Turns out that the inlet manifolds were loose and the gasket blew out.
So at the moment it's back to solex.....however after a tune up she runs better than ever!
I was ready to burn it but glad I spent the time fixing it.

Nice ride bro. Its great how much work has been done on such little money. Especially the rust and paint work, most people would of paid thousands for that. Ive just found a retired local Panel beater / spray painter thats going to help me with my SquareB. Did you use the original window seal? Also the did the carpet come with the car or did you buy that recently?

I bought new seals/rubbers all round except the door stuff.
The carpet is original, I work next to a trimmer who will make me a new set. I just have to pull mine out to use as a template ( one day).
