Greg are those windows attached to a strap ala porsche racing 356s? I've wanted to do that for ages to mine :tu:

That's right, the L/H door window is fixed, but the R/H window is pulled up or down with the strap - a bit of old seat belt webbing. The windows are Lexan.

No.8 is back.:tu:......drove it about 100 metres - just to make sure gears etc. work OK. All seems fine, and with a few minor bits to finish off, Wakefield Park next Wednesday is a goer!

Where does that brace from the fork attach at the other end?

OK, the link pins are now rod ends, and the king pins are now 'uprights'.:blush:

The fork braces bolt to the chassis 'castings' [one each side]. There are 2 vertical braces that are hard to see, bolted to a cross-member above. The whole lot is tied in with the roll cage, making the rear end very rigid.

Not that long, really. I only started to 'muck around' with my VW's suspension in 1960.:yes:

Re-set rear torsion bars, made a comp. spring, fitted a front anti-roll bar, and gave it some front toe-out. Even made up manifolds, and fitted twin Amal carbs.:rolleyes:

sorry my england was awful. Where does that lower arm go connected to the lower control arm on the front end and run parallel with the steering arm and what does that do?

They stop the lower arm flexing inwards which can also cause the wheel to go into positive camber.

Just have to say a HUGE thank you to Greg Mackie for selling me this awesome race car! Took it out for its first outing with me as the pilot, All I can say is it is a well sorted and amazing to drive! Did 3 sessions in it, made massive gains each time. Rear tyres are now stuffed! Drum Brakes for the win! 13th outright! against big HP cars, Pretty bloody STOKED! Thanks again GREG!
